A Book Extravaganza for Jamie in September!!

August was pretty exciting for me as I went to my first literary event– PAYA. September is going to be epic!! Want to know what I’ll be up to?
September 12th (Sunday)- The Brooklyn Book Festival
I’m so excited for this one. I’m just counting down the days. I’ll be meeting up with Lori from The Next Best Book Club whom I’ve known online for the past 2 years and two new blogger friends — Presenting Lenore & La Femme Readers. Elini from La Femme Reader is a Brooklyn girl so she is going to meet me at Penn Station and we’ll go to the event together.
There are going to be some really great publishers and authors in attendance there! I’ll be perusing the booths during my down time when I don’t have anything scheduled. Some great authors that will be there — Dennis Lehane, Rob Sheffield, Mitali Perkins, Lauren Oliver, Kirsten Miller, Sara Shepard, Elizabeth Wurtzel and so many more! You should check it out!
September 25th (Saturday)- National Book Festival
My boyfriend and I are going to make a day trip of this. Books aren’t really his thing but he loves me and supports me and I promised him that I wouldn’t take all day so we could go to other things. The one and only thing I MUST do while I am here is see Jonathan Safran Foer–aka my favorite author in the whole wide world!! Honestly. I might die seeing him. Total fangirl moment. Some other great others that will be there are Suzanne Collins, Diana Gabaldon, Ken Follett, Julia Glass, Isabel Allende, Elizabeth Kostova, Orhan Pamuk, Jonathan Franzen, Jane Smiley and so many more. You can find more info here!
Also, I’ll be attending a Suzanne Collins signing that is 30 minutes from my house so I’m stoked about that!
So, are any of you going to be going to these events? I would LOVE to meet up with you! I’m not a wierdo. I promise. I’ll let you stalk my Goodreads and my Facebook to show you I’m completely normal and awesome! 🙂 If you aren’t going to any of these events, what events have you been to in the past or will you be going to in the future?
