I love Friday!!

I’m a sporadic Blog Hop (an awesome meme started at Crazy For Books) participant but I’ve had such a wicked headache lately that reading has been kind of tortorous so I don’t have a review or anything for today!

The question:

If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?”

Always! Oh my gosh, I would die from annoyance if I didn’t. I’m the type of person that I really hate jumping into a tv show without having watched all the previous episodes; even if it’s a show that you don’t really need to watch all of the episodes. It just irks me! I will admit that if I see a good deal on a book later on in a series, in which I have none of the other books, I WILL buy it even if I haven’t started a series to know whether or not I like it.
Anyways, what are your plans for the weekend? I’m driving to Princeton, NJ tonight to attend the Jennifer Donnelly signing for Revolution!

The week in review (it’s been a slow one!):

About Jamie

Jamie is a 32 year old married lady (with a new baby!!) who is in denial that she's actually that old to be a married lady and a mom. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating ice cream, belting out Hamilton (loud and offkey) and having adventures with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.

Hi there! Old follower hopping in 🙂

I do the same thing when I see a series book on sale. Especially if it is by an author that I've been wanting to read. I figure if I get one of the books in the series, it will force me to get my butt in gear to get the others. LOL

    Have a great weekend!

We share your passion for starting a series from the beginning. This is like fundamental book law!
New follower. Hope your head pains improve…

    Come say hi at http://twobibliomaniacs.blogspot.com

  3. How can you not start from the beginning? And of course I'll buy any book in a series if I'm planning on reading it.

  4. Oh no, I HAVE to start at the beginning! Cause you know… it's the BEGINNING! LOL. Starting a series midway through is just like cracking open any book and starting to read randomly. Doesn't make any sense!

However if I like a series, I'll buy them out of order if I find them used or something.
