So tell me…which books were your faves that you read this year? Did anyone else want to just about die making this list? *hugs all the books I didn’t put on my list*
Jessica says
The only book on your list that I’ve read is Cinder… I have a feeling after reading everyones posts today I’m going to have a lot of books added on to my TBR list for next year! 🙂 I really want to read both Eleanor and Park and Something Strange and Deadly! 🙂
Tara says
I also read Jellicoe Road for the first time this year, and cried my little eyes out. And Two Boys Kissing was just like beautiful words that hit so close to home for me, so it was quite a personal read. I’ve got Code Name Verity up next on my Audible playlist (just bought it!) and want to recommend Rose Under Fire to you if you haven’t read it yet — it was one of my favorites of the year!
Lindsay says
Lots of similarities to my list. And some new ones too. I have never been more thankful to receive Amazon gift cards for Christmas so I can BUY ALL THE BOOKS.
Lianne @ caffeinatedlife.net says
Great list! Fangirl also made it on my honourable mentions–too many books and so little space (which Rowell’s other book, Attachments, took place of) xD
Happy New Year! 🙂 My TTT
Asheley (@BookwormAsheley) says
This is a great list – there are still a couple I haven’t read! Need to get on that!
I have to say that Eleanor & Park and Attachments are my absolute, easy favorites for the year, along with Liza Palmer’s Nowhere But Home! Three women this year where last year my favorites were by three (British) men. HA! Go figure!
Anne says
Your list is the list of books I want to read. I am writing them down as I speak. Thank you.

I had a TERRIBLE time creating this list!! UGH! Unravel Me made my list too; it was absolutely amazing! LOVED IT! Great list here. So many of these are ones I’ve read or are ones that are waiting for me on my TBR list. Happy reading in the new year!

What a great list, I need to start reading more contemporary and I really need to start reading some Rainbow Rowell, all I have heard is amazing things about her books. I just read Second Chance Summer and wow what an emotional book.
Pauline @ Fathomless Reveries says
Almost all of your books are still on my TBR! Really have to start reading them. Awesome list! 🙂
My TTT 🙂
Kim @ The Nomadic Book Hoarder says
Haha I love how so many people are cheating with this topic! SO UNDERSTANDABLE. How I managed to not cheat and list only 10 is beyond me, but I did. Anyway, so many of your list are still on my TBR so that tells me to get on with that. Of the books I have read I definitely agree with you: Pivot Point, Cinder and Shadow and Bone all got 5 stars from me.
Stephanie B says
It makes me so happy to see Not a Drop to Drink on yet another list. Excellent book!
Nadia @ Nadia Reads says

Thanks for the great new titles! My 2013 fav has to be The Fall of Five!

Great list!! I haven’t read any of these yet, but several are on my TBR list. I loved Fangirl and really want to read her other books. Pivot Point, Just One Day, Just One Year, and Two Boys Kissing are all books I hope to get to next year.

I’m definitely going to have to read some of these books. I’ve seen them on multiple lists, so they are obviously good. Most especially ‘Pivot Point’ and ‘Eleanor and Park’. ‘Code Name Verity’ and ‘Cinder’ were already on my to read list. 🙂
And I loooooove ‘Jellicoe Road’. I read it last year and I fell in love with Melina Marchetta! I cried so hard reading this book.
Christa @ More Than Just Magic says
Looks like I really need to read Wild Awake. It’s popping up on so many lists. And I’m so happy you’ve started the Cinder, Something Strange and Deadly and Shadow and Bone series. They’re three of my favourites
Ashleigh says
Eek! I want to read all of the books on this list! (I feel quite behind having read a total of zero). 2014 is going to be a year of catching up with all of these amazing reads for me. Thanks for posting 🙂

Most of the books on this list are ones that I’ve been wanting to read, or have on my shelf and need to read them! Though I did read Cinder and Unravel Me – I didn’t love Cinder, but Unravel Me just about killed me <3 I can't wait to see how it all ends!!!
Vy (Vy's Blog) says

Seriously it was so hard to choose only ten books for this list!!! I died trying. Unravel Me for sure. Love Tahereh Mafi’s writing. I need to read S&B, TSWSYL, and E&P!!! And a lot more that I didn’t feel like typing. Basically all the books on your list that I haven’t read (which are actually quite a few) are on my never-ending list. Hope you had a great New Years!
Alexa S. says
I’ve read 12 out of the 20 you’ve included, which I think is pretty darn awesome! One title I’d certainly love to get around to reading this year is Wild Awake, which sounds absolutely incredible. Plus, that cover is just FANTASTIC!
Christina (A Reader of Fictions) says
I agree with you on SO many of these. And also I think This Song might have been my top YA read of 2013. It was just so brilliant and totally how I felt as a teen.
I do wish I could have loved Just One Year like you did. Instead, I unshipped. Oh well. It happens.
Maria says
First of all, I love your blog! I do my blog with list like things too! =)
Secondly, I love The Voice!! Or maybe I love Adam and Blake…. 😉
Keep it up hun! So much fun to read!
