Top Ten 2014 Releases I’m Super Stoked For!

TTTlogo

Top Ten Tuesday, as  always, is hosted at my other blog — The Broke & the Bookish

This week’s topic: Top Ten 2014 Releases I’m Dying To Have

There are SOOOOOO MANY 2014 books I want. You can follow my Catalog Creepin’ adventures to see more! OH AND ALSO apparently there is an unnamed John Green novel coming out in 2014. I WANT THAT. If it had a name and a cover it would be on this list officially. BUT I WANT IT.

2014 Books I’ve Already Read But Would Have Made This List FOR SURE!

popular-2014-releases-books

Ignite Me: I told myself I would only allow myself ONE sequel on this list because I just talked about my most anticipated sequels and lots of them were 2014 releases. But IGNITE ME HAD TO BE ON THIS LIST. I know Tahereh Mafi is going to be evil and rip my heart out but I will love it. I know it. I will love the pain she dishes out.

Isla & the Happily Ever After: I am a Stephanie Perkins fangirl and I have waited ever so patiently (errr as patiently as humanly possible) for this book. If you haven’t read her novels you still have time before this comes out — get on it and pick up Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door.

Landline Rainbow Rowell: I love all things Rainbow Rowell and I want this sooooo bad. Both of her releases this year (Eleanor & Park and Fangirl) have been favorites this year.

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson: I’m two for two with Morgan Matson’s books and I would like very much to get my hands on this and continue that streak.

The Museum of Intangible Things by Wendy Wunder: This just sounds like a me book and I’ve been wanting it since I’ve heard about it.

Lies My Girlfriend Told Me: I’ve read one book from this author and thought it was really strong and the premise for this one sounds excellent! I’ve just become more and more excited about it ever since I heard about it.

The Impossible Knife of Memory: Anytime there is a new LHA book coming out it is going to make my list!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before: Love Jenny Han and this sounds fantastic!

Searching For Sky by Jillian Cantor: Her recent release, Margot, is on my list but I haven’t read it yet but this sounds AWESOME and very different. The summary says it’s a “reverse dystopia” and I love dystopians and haven’t wanted to give them up yet despite a huge flux of mediocre ones. I THINK THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE FAB.

Dissonance by Erica O’Rourke: I’m rather obsessed by the idea of parallel lives sooo I’m DYING for this one!

So tell me…what are YOU dying for in 2014? I can’t even contain myself!! SO MANY GOOD BOOKS! This list easily could have been 50.

About Jamie

Jamie is a 28 year old married lady who is in denial that she's actually that old. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating gelato, listening to music with oversized headphones and teaching her niece how to be as awesome as she is.

  1. Laurie Halse Anderson and Morgan Matson! Can’t wait. Wonderful list.

  2. ISLAAAAAAAAAA, yes, me too!!! Oh, and yes, THE IMPOSSIBLE KNIFE OF MEMORY! You also have books on there that I haven’t heard of yet! And others that I know I’ll read! Oh, LOVE LETTERS is a book that was a Top 5 Spotlight a couple weeks ago for me with a special mention now!

  3. Ooo. The new Rainbow Rowell looks good (and I didn’t know about the John Green! Ah!)

Here is my list of books I’m excited for. Not a lot of crossover – but I have been leaning more toward adult releases lately.

  4. I’m glad to hear you loved We Were Liars and Love Letters to the Dead. They look fantastic and I want to sneak those in very soon. To all the Boys, Museum, and Since you’ve been gone also look fantastic. And Isla and Landline of course. Basically, I love your taste in books and can’t wait to for 2014 to read these lovelies!

  5. I am dying for Lies My Girlfriend Told Me and Ignite Me! :D

  6. Seeing Landline on your list makes me a bit ashamed that I still haven’t read Eleanor & Park or Fangirl. I had Fangirl at BEA and put it back down because I didn’t like the cover. Definitely time to read both of them!

  7. We only have Ignite me on our list – very excited! .. though I am one behind haha. Gotta catch up! I’m definitely going to go check out more from your list though! I have FINALLY started really getting into contemporaries and some of those covers are seriously grabbing my attention :D

  8. Ahhhh! Amazing list Jamie. I could easily add all of these to my TBR list. I do have Ignite Me and the new LHA book!

  9. This is a really amazing list! You put some of yours that I was thinking about putting on mine, but they just didn’t quite make it! I’m glad their getting face time over here!

  10. So many books I want to read here that I didn’t even know existed before today!
Very excited for Isla and the HEA. Love Letters to the Dead sounds beautiful.

  11. I am soooo excited for Landline. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about it till tonight!!!

    My Top Ten

  12. Isla! So hoping that it actually, definitely comes out next year. It’s been pushed back too many times! I’m so excited to finally devour it!
And Ignite Me! Eeeeeep. Tahereh is my absolute fave and I know she’s going to rip my heart out tooooo. Gahhh!

  13. Well, I think ALL of us cheated on this week’s top ten Tuesday post. Ha ha but yes, it makes me SO happy that you loved Love Letters to the Dead and We Were Liars both of which are on my list. Also, so cannot wait for Since You’ve Been Gone and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

This is my first time coming across Searching for Sky. Must see what it is about.

  14. With every mention of We Were Liars, I grow more and more envious of everyone who’s read it already! I am SO, SO excited for that one – I want to experience for myself this mind-blowing ending.

  15. Dissonance has a beautiful cover :) I haven’t read any on your list yet, but will check some of them out! I want to read Love Letters to the Dead thouth (I’ve heard of that one) :)

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday. list if you want to check it out!

Chanzie @ Mean Who You Are.

  16. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and YES!

Even though they didn’t all make the list (grr to only having 10 spots!), those are all on my must read list!

    Here’s my TTT.

  17. I’m so glad to see Isla and the Happily Ever After, To All the Boys I’ve Ever Loved and Ignite Me on your list! I totally agree with you, I have a feeling my heart is totally going to suffer with Ignite Me! I don’t think I’ve heard of the rest of the books you’ve listed except for Since You’ve Been Gone, so I will definitely have to check the rest out! Brilliant list Jamie! :)

  18. Looking at your list I see now that I forgot so many!! Like Isla and Since You’ve Been Gone! I still have to read Shatter Me, but I’ll read that soon. Even better is that I can now read the whole Shatter Me series back to back, so no anxiously waiting on sequels with this series for me. We Were Liars is on my list too, and I’m totally going in blind when I’ll read that one.

  19. AMAZING LIST! I have so many of these on my wishlist already and after seeing this post, that list also grew by a couple of books. Super excited for Lauren Halse Andersen!

  20. So … yeah. I’ve literally added all of these that weren’t already on my TBR to my TBR haha.

Also … JOHN GREEN? AAHHHHH *jumps up and down*

  21. A thousand yes about the John Green’s new book. That man is like a genius writing machine. I can’t help loving his books. All of the characters are so unique that if I don’t get all of them for friends as a Christmas present this year I will get seriously mad at the world. And the world doesn’t want to see me mad.

  22. Most of your list was on my TBR shelf already! So excited for all of these to release. You’re right — 2014 is shaping up to a great year for new book releases!

  23. I’ll definitely need to be checking out some of these books from your list! They all sound amazing! 2014 looks like it’s going to be a great year for new books!

  24. Love this list. Some of them should have made my cut but I had to stop somewhere. 2014 looks to be a fantastic year for books.

    My TTT List

  25. Very much looking forward to Ignite Me! There are a few on this list I am unfamiliar with so looking into them now! Can’t wait to add some to my TBR list!

  26. Great list Jamie! The two you’ve already read made my list as well.. can not wait! And look at all those contemps!! eeeeee!

  27. Isla made my top ten list as well. I completely forgot about Landline. I loved Fangirl and added Landline to my TBR as soon as I heard about it. Great list!!

    Here is my TTT: http://jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2013/12/top-ten-tuesday-2014-releases-im-dying.html

  28. I can’t believe I still haven’t read a Rainbow book yet. I gotta do it. That cover is so freaking cool, but so are her others so that can’t be my excuse! Obviously I’m excited for Ignite Me… hoping for chapter sixty-betty. Also looking forward to We Were Liars and Love Letters to the Dead! Nice list, doyke!!

  29. Ignite Me!!!!! I just read Fangirl this year and loved it so I will basically read anything Rainbow Rowell writes now. I have E&P just have to read it and I’m sure I’ll be buying Attachments soon. I really want to read We Were Liars after your raving Save the Date post on it. :) I really want to read Love Letters to the Dead. Glad to see that you liked it. :)

  30. I hadn’t heard of DISSONANCE, but it looks kind of great. Parallel universes/lives is an idea that can be done really well in YA, I think. Putting it on my wishlist… now! Thanks for sharing!

  31. I really love your second list of books that would be on the first one, I totally wish I’d done that! Also yey Dissonance! I put that on the wishlist ages ago and keep forgetting about it since it’s taking so long to hear anything about it *wants*

  32. Jamie, the covers are so gorgeous! I like your idea of two lists – it opens a whole new world of books! I’m so excited for We Were Liars. I’m definitely going to check out some of the others on your list!

  33. Lovely list. (Ignite Me for the WIN!) I haven’t heard of most of those, they seem like contemporary books based on the covers. But, I’ll have to check them out. And there goes my TBR list, ever expanding.

  34. I have some of these on my list as well! Thanks for sharing!

    My Top Ten this week!

  35. Awesome list! Isla and Love Letters to the Dead are really intriguing. I can’t wait! I think 2014 will have some awesome new releases! I’m so glad you included Rainbow Rowell. I really love her books. I am looking forward to reading her book Attachments this month. It’s an adult book and sounds wonderful!
    Happy Reading and great list!

  36. I’m seeing ISLA and LANDLINE everywhere! (Including my own list) It’s interesting to see what YA books bloggers are losing their mind about :)

  37. IGNITE ME, ISLA, and LANDLINE–I need those! Oh, and I have LOVE LETTERS TO THE DEAD, so good to know that it’s good! I’m hearing really, really good things about WE WERE LIARS.

Rachel @ Beauty and the Bookshelf

  38. I’m pretty embarrassed Isla didn’t make my list. I hadn’t heard of quite a few of these and will definitely have to investigate further–especially The Museum of Intangible Things, what a great title.

  39. Awesome list. I just added a few to my tbr.
And I totally forgot about Dissonance, I love Erica <33

  40. Yay for Rainbow’s new book; so fun. :)

  41. I’m really excited for Love Letters For the Dead. It sounds like a fresh, exciting concept.

  42. Well that just doubled my 2014 releases TBR list! Some great books here. And awesome covers, which I am a sucker for no matter how I try not to be!

  43. Great list and so many great books that I am dying to read myself. I am especially excited for Jenny Han’s new book and Love Letters to the Dead; can’t wait for either of those! My TTT

  44. Isla and Ignite Me!! I know that Tahereh Mafi is going to do something heartbreaking, and it’s going to be wonderful! AH. So excited for all of these books. Can’t wait!

    Great list!

  45. Ignite Me and Since You’ve Been Gone are on mine as well, and Dissonance almost made it (but was displaced by Erased by Jennifer Rush :D). I can’t believe I forgot Love Letters To the Dead though! I was declined on NG so now I have to rely on everyone else to tell me if it’s good – and now I get to pick up my own copy when it’s released.

  46. I definitely didn’t take the same non-sequel challenge you did because I only have one non-sequel on my list today! Love your picks, Jamie! I’m especially looking forward to Since You’ve Been Gone and To All the Boys. I think they both look ah-mazing!

Mary @ Mary Had a Little Book Blog

  47. YES TO ALL OF THE ABOVE

  48. IGNITE ME.
Jaime, HOW WILL IT ALL END?! My heart can scarcely take it!

  49. ISLAAAAAAAA!!! I need that book, same with Landline because Stephanie Perkins and Rainbow Rowell are the best. Most of these weren’t on my radar, but several of them are now on my TBR :) Great list.

  50. First of all, LOVE your blog! It’s so professional looking and yet has so much personality to it :)
    Now, onto the books lol:
I still haven’t read Shatter Me. But your enthusisam for the third book in that series has me bumping it up on my list.
Dissonance is on my TBR list at the moment. I’m also excited to read it!
Quite a few of the books you mentioned piqued my interest :)
Hope you have a great week!
