Cover Reveal: This Song Will Save Your Life PAPERBACK edition!!

If you followed my blog last year or saw my end of year favorites list, you will know that This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales was one of my FAVORITE books of last year and definitely one of my all time favorite contemporary YA books ever.

IT IS SO GOOD YOU GUYS.

What It Is About:

“Making friends has never been Elise Dembowski’s strong suit. All throughout her life, she’s been the butt of every joke and the outsider in every conversation. When a final attempt at popularity fails, Elise nearly gives up. Then she stumbles upon a warehouse party where she meets Vicky, a girl in a band who accepts her; Char, a cute, yet mysterious disc jockey; Pippa, a carefree spirit from England; and most importantly, a love for DJing.”

Some things I said about it in my review:

“Its spirit pulses from the pages, goes right through to your veins and reverberates in your soul — a feeling reminiscent of any great concert or night out dancing where your ears are still buzzing and the music still pounds within you as you drift off to sleep.”

“Heartbreaking at times, honest and inspiring you to realize that you don’t necessarily have to CHANGE to find yourself but you just have to see those perceived weaknesses or quirks as your strength and learn to be comfortable in your skin.”

“I’m not going to lie. Leila Sales had her work cut out for her to convince me that “teenage DJ” wasn’t going to be super corny. I will tell you that she successfully proved me wrong and I felt like I was walking into the club with Elise for the first time and feeling so excited every step of the way. I could feel the energy and I loved how the setting was written perfectly.”

So when Leila Sales, author of this amazing book and a seriously awesome person, asked me if I wanted to reveal the cover for the paperback I was like YES HELL YES THIS IS NOT EVEN A QUESTION. If you are a regular around these parts you know I don’t often do cover reveals so you KNOW how I excited I must be about this book!!

So without further ado, the cover for the paperback edition of This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales:

The paperback will be out April 28 and it will include an exclusive Q&A between Leila and her editor and very possibly a sneak peek teaser chapter from her next novel, TONIGHT THE STREETS ARE OURS, which I CANNOT WAIT FOR.

  1. LOVE it <3 one of those underrated but AMAZING books

  2. Definitely love this more than the hardcover cover! I read it last year as an eBbok but I SO WANNA BUY THIS NOW.

  3. This is SO exciting! I love the cover design, it fits the style of the book so perfectly! I absolutely loved this book when I read it at the beginning of the year and it it now one of my top 10 favorite YA books of all time. I will definitely be pre-ordering the paperback and probably marathoning it as soon as I get it in the mail!

  4. WHOA! Love this cover a lot. And I love this book like whoa.

  5. I love it! ♥ Besides, it’s perfect because I haven’t read it yet! 😛

  6. Ooooh. I had no idea that the paperback was getting a new design. I really love the turntable. It’s cute!

  7. Oh goodness, I do love that cover! Now I suppose I’d better read the book, huh? 🙂

  8. OOh I like how they translated the hardcover to paperback (although, I may still prefer the hardcover by a smidge). Maybe this will finally get me to pick up this book!

  9. I love this cover even more than the hardback! I think I may have to buy it when it’s released and read it then – I still haven’t read my copy. Oops ;P

  10. I haven’t read this one yet, but I hope to soon! And this cover is just gorgeous! I think I prefer it to the original cover. I’ve been thinking about the UK paperback which has the US hardcover cover, since it’s such a short book and I usually by shorter books ( < 350 pages) in paperback, but I may wait for this to be released as I think I prefer it.

  11. AHHH, it’s so pretty! I’ve had my eye on this book for a LONG time but I’ve never gotten around to buying it since it’s a hardback… NO MORE EXCUSES. I shall buy this ASAP! I need to read this book sooner rather than later 😀

  12. I dig it! It’s rare that I can’t really chose between the hardcover and paperback covers of a book, but I like both of these. This was one of my few contemps this year, and I really liked it! Music-heavy ones tend to do me good.

  13. Not sure how I feel about the cover. It’s a bit hard to read, but the turntable is adorable. However the main thing is I LOVE this book. 🙂

  14. Whoa! The paperback cover edition is do cool looking!
