Home Sweet Home

I’m back!! Some of you might be like, “hmmm oops didn’t even know you left.”  I did though — thanks to the internet it maybe felt like I never went anywhere. I just got back from my two week trip to London and Madrid with my husband — I’ll share some pictures down below. I sooo could have done another week or two in other cities after these two weeks but 1) haha money 2) I missed our dog.  We had a great time at which maybe I’ll talk about in more detail later…or maybe I won’t. I haven’t decided because motivation is always a problem so we shall see.

I will slowly be catching up with responding to things (lols to my inbox right now) and getting back in the groove but I have a feeling this week might be S L O W.

I *DID* post while I was gone but did a crap job of promoting it via other social media so you may have missed it. So, maybe while I get my crap together, you can check those out in the meantime.

So here’s a little sneak peek of my trip in the event you weren’t following along on Instagram or Snapchat or Twitter.  I plan to go through our pictures from our real camera this week but these are just ones from my phone that are largely unedited.

About Jamie

Jamie is a 32 year old married lady (with a new baby!!) who is in denial that she's actually that old to be a married lady and a mom. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating ice cream, belting out Hamilton (loud and offkey) and having adventures with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.

  1. Heather says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE these! Makes me miss England! I haven’t been in years and desperately want to go back. Amazing pictures!

  2. Great pictures! So happy that you had a good time and I really enjoyed follwing your trip on Instagram. Enjoy cuddle time with Finn 🙂

    • Thanks lady! And ohhh we’ve had so much cuddle time. He’s even more of a velcro dog than before haha

  3. It looks like you had an amazing time! I love seeing other people’s travel photos. It lets me live vicariously when I can’t travel. I see you had tickets to that extremely intense Chelsea v. Tottenham match. Must have been even crazier in person.

    • Hehe this is why I follow so many travel blogs — I get envious but that doesn’t trump my need to live vicariously! And oh mannnn yes it was so intense and fun!!!

  4. What a fun trip, and your photos are great — even if they are just phone pics. The photo of the churros literally had my mouth watering. And I LOVE how you did your Platform 9 3/4 photo, with your scarf flying out behind you. Will have to remember that for whenever I make it there!

    • Thank you! I actually realized the one of my from Platform 9 3/4 was NOT from my phone. Will forgot to take one with my phone but sent it to me wirelessly so that’s why it was on my phone haha. And honestly I had zero to do with that pic. It’s free to take the pic but there is a line and there are girls who work for the gift shop that position you and they throw the scarf up and move for the pic! 🙂

  5. Aww your trip looks amazing! Thank you for sharing all those stunning photos ^_^ And omigosh, those churros made me so hungry! XD

    • It was such a wonderful trip! Very thankful I was able to do it. And omg I have been craving churros and chocolate like every day since I’ve been home. They are even better than they look!!

  6. These are just phone pics? MY MIND IS BLOWN. (Especially the HP one with the scarf? Like I hate you a little?)

I’m so glad you had an amazing trip and thanks for the round up, because I did miss a lot of your posts.

    • I realized after I wrote this post that the HP one was actually from our camera. I forgot that Will FORGOT to take it with my phone as well and I NEEEEEEDED it for Instagram so he sent it to me haha So I lied (unintentionally!!) haha.

  7. Looks like you had a wonderful time! Also, I can’t help but laugh at ‘persistent standing is not allowed’ 😀

    • Heheh I was actually kinda happy about that because in the states they don’t do anything about that and sometimes I just don’t want to stand the whole match but have to because everyone else is.

  8. Beautiful photos! I love the Platform 9 3/4 picture 🙂

    • Thank you! 🙂 The one I took right after that one (the jumping one) didn’t turn out so great because I flashed everyone heheh OOOOOPS

  9. It sounds like you had so much fun on your trip! I’ve been wanting to go to London for years now, but alas, I’m still in college with no money of my own 🙁 I’m hoping to either study abroad there the summer after junior year, or possibly just go for fun sometime in the future. Eventually. Hopefully sooner than later. Anyways, I think I remember you reading The Unexpected Everything while you were there, and I can’t wait to hear what you thought of it!!

    • I WISH I would have studied abroad in college so I always encourage people to do it if they are able because I will say it’s one thing I kind of regret not doing and I don’t have TOO many regrets.

Also, SUPER LOVED The Unexpected Everything!

  10. Thanks for sharing – Toledo is stunning, I never would have thought of going there, but WOW. So pretty!

You guys did so much for just two weeks, and you look so happy. THE CHURROS!

Welcome back, and I’m sure Finn was SO happy to have you back. =)

  11. Awesome pics, Jamie! I saw these on Instagram but I just noticed that you and your husband are matchy in the obligatory photo! SOOO cute!

I’ve never been to Europe so it’s nice seeing these photos! Glad you had fun! My mouth is just watering at the churros and chocolate!
