Odds & Ends

Happy Sunday! Hope you’ve had a good weekend. Riley and I went to Purposeful Play class again this Saturday but this time Will came with us! Then we came home for a nap (well, for her, blogging for me) and then Riley and I went to go hang out with my friends and their babies who I feel like I haven’t seen in foreverrrr!!

  • I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to listen to the other day while I was blogging and I came across this piano playlist and it was so peaceful to listen to while blogging. Great background music!

  • WHICH ONE OF YOU WAS IT? I mean, if I was ever going to abandon my morals and engage in a heist it would definitely be this!

  • So as I’m changing my site around slowly but surely I wanted to draw your attention to a new thing I have going on right now (since I know a lot of people read via Bloglovin or another reader type thing and can’t see my header)…since I’m not fancy enough (lol I’m never getting 10K followers) to use the swipe up feature on Instagram to link stuff I made a little area where all that info will be as I get asked a lot about stuff on there! So take a looksy! It’s still a work in progress as I just did it but I hope you find it helpful (ie especially all you people asking about my new favorite jeans and leggings!!!)

  • I could have probably written this article about what it feels like to lose a parent at a young age.

  • UMMM people who have babies!! You need these booties for your babes. I got Riley the cutest pair of booties from Gap and she kicks them off within 5 seconds of me getting them on (no lie..this morning the one I put on was off before I finished putting the other on). Another mom and I were talking at Purposeful Play and she said these were lifechanging and stayed on and OH MAN…game changer!

  •  So my dad gave me a gift card and told me to treat myself for Christmas and I really needed some new clothes so can I just talk about my awesome Old Navy haul where everything was super on sale????? Out of all the things I got only one thing (this dress) is being returned because it just looks terrible on me and just has no shape which is sad because it looked really cute! But everything else was great and I’m happy I bought it….I feel great in them which is a nice feeling because my postpartum body bums me out sometimes. Some of them are still on sale on the website with the code!

  • So Will and I have been talking about getting a new comforter (we’ve had ours since we got married and it’s looking pretty dingy and worn) and we were talking about getting a new one and the Ugg ones I was looking at were on sale!!!! Does anybody have these and like them before we finalize what we are getting? We are going to Kohl’s also this week to look and see what they have! Will also take any recs for things you like!

  • I loved this article! I was just having a convo with the lady I work for about how it’s sad that one of her kid’s friends dad always is like DON’T CRY…toughen up when his little boy cries. And I HATE THIS MESSAGE. The lady I work for does an awesome job at encouraging the boys to feel what they feel and they know crying is okay. Even as a girl I grew up thinking crying was a weakness. I will making sure Riley doesn’t ever feel that way!

What did you do this weekend? Read any interesting articles or find any good recommendations (for anything)? Tell me, tell me!!

About Jamie

Jamie is a 32 year old married lady (with a new baby!!) who is in denial that she's actually that old to be a married lady and a mom. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating ice cream, belting out Hamilton (loud and offkey) and having adventures with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.

  1. Oh those booties are cute. Merijn is however at that age where he can take them off haha. We went to Ikea yesterday to get Merijn his own chair. He loves it.

  2. Had a super chill weekend. Watched football with the hubby, and read one of the books on my reading list.
