Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: It sounds like such a ME book from what I hear! And I’m really curious to learn how Maggie sees Ben and Ben only.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: All my friends who love fantasy go crazy about this one whenever they talk about this author so I basically added all her books to my TBR.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: An author I really like on Twitter, Ashley Herring Blake, tweeted some major praise for this one and made me look it up on Goodreads and YEAH so my kind of thing.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: People had been talking a bit about this one when it came out but I feel like I’m even MORE interested based on the buzz since the second one was released in June so I think I’m officially going to try this one.

Why I Added It To My Netflix Queue: Because it’s time. I keep meaning to watch this show but haven’t. But I’m putting my big girl panties on and will see why the internet loves this show so damn much.
What It Is About: “Raised by their dad to fight supernatural forces, grown siblings Dean and Sam crisscross the country in their 1967 Chevy Impala, investigating paranormal activity and picking fights with deadly demons, ghosts and monsters.”
True Detective
Why I Added It To My Netflix Queue: Because I just really love Matthew McConaughey a lot and also crime shows! I’ve also heard good things!
What It Is About: “Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson star in this crime drama about two detectives caught up in the 17-year-long hunt for a serial killer. Both cops’ roles in a 1995 murder investigation come back to haunt them when the case is reopened..”
Laggies
Why I Added It To My Netflix Queue: I’m almost 30 and I feel like I can relate to not finding your life calling haha. BUT I AM MARRIED NON-GROWNUP SOOO.
What It Is About: “28-year old Megan is stuck in permanent adolescence and unable to find her calling in life. When her boyfriend proposes to her unexpectedly, she panics and runs into a 16-year old girl, who forces Megan to come to terms about her future.”

Why I Added It To My Musical Rotation: I was looking up concerts in the area and saw they were playing with the Mynabirds so I checked out their latest album. Digging their sound!
MS MR — How Does It Feel
Why I Added It To My Musical Rotation: UM because they have been one of my faves since their first album in 2013 and all their singles have been incredible for this new album.
Desaparecidos — Payola
Why I Added It To My Musical Rotation: OMG blast from the past!! This was one of my favorites either at the end of high school or freshman year of college…can’t remember. This was Conor Oberst’s (Bright Eyes) side project thing and they only put out one album and I was like MERP because I dug it but Bright Eyes was also so my jam so I didn’t care that much. LO AND BEHOLD THEY HAVE A NEW ALBUM AFTER ALL THESE 10+ YEARS!! I’ve only given it a quick listen but I like their sound still even though it’s pretty different than what I listen to!

True Detective is GREAT! It’s quite dark but really riveting, with lots of twists and turns. One thing I feel like people don’t talk about is how actually stunningly beautiful the show is. Check out the opening & closing shots especially (in each episode)… almost like they could be paintings 🙂 Just found your blog and loving it!!

I LOVED Laggies! It was funny, sweet and something I could relate to even as a married non-grownup. Being a real grownup is completely overrated. I tried it for a few days and it was the worst.

I need to grow up and watch Supernatural as well! Everyone on the internet raves and screams about it, but it just scares me because (internet forbid) I don’t like it? Also, Queen of the Tearling is on my TBR. I need to read it because 1) it’s gorgeous and 2) everyone loves it.

I just picked up Queen of the Tearling from the library yesterday. As a relative newbie to the fantasy genre, like you, I’m intrigued by the series and want to see what all the buzz is about! I’ve tried to read Tamora Pierce a few times, but just couldn’t get into her writing. I’ll be intrigued to see what you think though!
I’m currently watching the second season of True Detective. My hubby LOVES the show, but I think it’s okay. It’s really slow-paced for the most part, with occasional bursts of excitement. I’m liking the second season better than the first, mainly because of Rachel McAdams. I found it hard to understand the Texan accents in the first season — ha ha ha!

Gillian has some amazing book pushing powers because I also added the first four Tamore Pierce books (the Alanna books) to my Kindle library, and I’m hoping to get into book 1 pretty soon!
My friend Kristen from My Friends Are Fiction convinced me that I need to start watching Poldark and I hope to watch the first episode soon!!
I was quite reticent about Queen of the Tearling but then read it earlier this year and really loved it and the sequel was also quite good and went in a rather unexpected way!! Hope you’ll enjoy them both!!

I love Tamora Pierce! My favorite of her series is the Trickster’s Choice/Trickster’s Queen duology. It’s a little bit older and more mature than her quartets. I loved the first two books in the Hound Trilogy, but the third one let me down hard. I hope you like one of her series! The quartets are more middle-grade level so they read really fast 🙂

I 100% approve of your decision to add The Queen of the Tearling to your TBR, because that book (and its sequel) are amazing adult fantasies. I hope you love Kelsea and her story as much as I do! And, of course, I am SO happy that Tamora Pierce is also on your TBR. She’s one of my favorite fantasy authors, and I’m so excited for you to read her stuff! And, and, and, you’ve just reminded me that I want to catch up on Supernatural; I binged the first three seasons, but stopped there because the friends I was watching with stopped watching. I do want to continue!

Have you read any other Tamora Pierce? I’ve read all her Tortall novels. The Beka Cooper series is my favorite. It’s a detective story/ mystery set in a land with magic.

You will definitely not be disappointed with Supernatural! I was wary of it at first, mostly because I am not really a horror kind of girl, but the show is so much more than werewolves and zombies! It delves into all kinds of obscure and fascinating mythology. I will say that the first season is not really my favorite, but it certainly picks up as you go.
I have recently added How I Met Your Mother to my queue. It seems like such a fun show, and so many people have urged (annoyed) me to watch it. Everyone needs a good laugh now and then.
