So as most of you know I’m always trying to infuse other interests in my life into this blog but still keep it bookish related – Of Literature & Locations (travel themed posts…which I’ve slacked on) and Retail Therapy (shopping meets bookish things!)..just to name two areas.
Music, out of all things in my life, has been the one constant. Always. I’m obsessed with music…you might know this if you follow me on Twitter, follow my Tumblr or have gotten mixtapes made by yours truly. There’s always music on. Always. It’s honestly a passion that rivals my love for books.
So I had this idea to start a sporadic feature on here, Of Literature & Lyrics, all about music and books. Because I realized the reason why my love for them is so equal is that the each tell a story in a different way. Music can tell a story just as a book does but also depends on the aural element as well as impeccable writing to convey that story, those emotions, that long lasting connection in a song of maybe four minutes. I’m sure all of you can think of a song that holds so much of a truth for you, that tells your story, or that just evokes emotion with the story it is telling.
So I decided I would infuse my love for books and music and interview bands/songwriters who have songs that are about books or seem to be bookishly influenced, the writing process for songwriters or just point out lyrics that I think tell a great story.
ALL THAT BEING SAID…THIS IS THE EXCITING PART….
I emailed two bands and just yesterday got an email back with a big YES for an interview with me. THIS BAND IS ONE OF MY FAVES!!! They are freaking awesome AND I, Jamie, am going to be interviewing the lead singer on the PHONE.

I’m not going to tell you who it is…but I know some of you will know this band & love it or will have at least heard of them! You’ll just have to come back to find out which freaking amazing band will be here!!!
