A while back I did a reader survey for all my readers who were NOT book bloggers. One of the most common things I heard when I asked what could book bloggers do better for readers who are non-book bloggers was that, sometimes, it seemed like bloggers forget not everyone has access to books early so pre-pub reviews were frustrating. I totally understood that. But one of the things I love about being a book blogger is getting the word out early to create buzz for upcoming releases. SO, this is my attempt to do both. For books I read before the pub date, I’m going to do a little buzz “Save The Date” post with a little bit about the book. Closer to the release date or after, I’ll post my full review.
So Close to You 
What’s It About: Lydia has heard all about the conspiracies and myths regarding her hometown of Montauk and the alleged Montauk Project where strange and unexplainable things took place. SUPER TOP SECRET THINGS. While appeasing her grandfather and exploring the abandoned military base where he believes his father went missing because of the Montauk Project, she stumbles upon something extremely dangerous that would prove everything her grandfather has said might be true about the Montauk Project. Risking her life and possibly her families, she seeks to find the truth about the Montauk Project.
Three Thoughts About It:
1. TIME TRAVEL. That is all.
2. It’s definitely more of a science fiction-y than I normally read but I was really digging it. Maybe this is a sign I really might like science fiction?? I think for those who love really science-y science fiction it might not be enough but I thought it was a good balance of story, romance and science fiction without being TOO weighed down by the technical aspects of the time travel.
3. UM conspiracy theory! It’s so very interesting because all of this IS based on a REAL conspiracy about the Montauk Project. It’s fascinating really. I loved the historical aspect of this novel as well.

I think that’s a really good idea! It’s quite frustrating for a lot of BOOK bloggers who perhaps aren’t as ‘big’ as some of the other bloggers yet… But this was a really nice idea 😀 I’ll be keeping an eye on the ‘save the date for’ posts!

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it! That is also a good point! I mean, it’s hard because I want to share the love pre-pub but also want to do a review at a time when it’s out so that people don’t have to wait months and months.

This sounds like a great book. I’m not always one for time travel books, but two fantastic ones I’ve read are The Time Traveler’s Wive and Outlander.

Awesome idea, I love this. It’s the best of both worlds, get the buzz going ahead of time and then again once people have access to the books.

Replying to your suggestion for new time travel books, I read the series called “The Savage Series” by Tamara Rose Blodgett. The first book is titled “Pearl Savage.” I love this series and was addicted from the first book. It too is science-y without being too science fiction. It has slight bits of time travel in the later books (not so much in the first book).
