THIS DAY RIGHT HERE I WAS BORN & I’d Like To Celebrate That

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE. Although there is quite a bit of denial involved in this day. I am NOT really 26, am I?! Wasn’t I just an awkward teenager going into middle school?! And how am I out of college already?!? And let’s not EVEN mention that I’m inching closer to 30! ANYWHO..I’m going to have a lovely day…Will is making me dinner and then we are going out for drinks with friends and I’ve got a cute dress!!

One thing that has ALWAYS been a constant in my life through all these 26 years is my love for reading. So I’m going to do a little giveaway of some books that I enjoyed during my 25th year of life! It isn’t as epic as the week long event that I threw for my 25th birthday but I still want to do something because you all have made this past year of my life AMAZING! πŸ™‚

One lucky winner can pick TWO of these books:

Obviously Fever is going to be a Pre-Order but I LOVED it and NEED to add it this list as evidenced by my review of Fever!

All you need to do? Leave a comment by answering this question — If you could pick ONE author to crash your birthday party…who would you pick? Also, leave a way for me to contact you should you win — Twitter, email, Blog, etc. Giveaway ends October 22. If you want to be super nice to me on my birthday, please tweet about the giveaway πŸ™‚

PS. This one is open internationally to anywhere The Book Depository can ship.

  1. HAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope it's filled with books and friends and fun-going-out-time!

Look, Jamie, only one author? I DON'T KNOW. Maureen Johnson is sort of an obvious choice – so fun and hilarious. So probably Stephanie Perkins? I MUST meet her someday. But but it's my life goal to meet Tamora Pierce so…..

(also you know how to contact me but for fun, @hobbitsies on twitter)

  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *gets out streamers and glitter and party hats*

Um… Probably Maureen Johnson. That would be fun ;D smileycicely(at)hotmail(dot)com

  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *Tosses confetti.* Enjoy. πŸ™‚ As for which author…crap, only one? There are so many good ones and so many that are just plain awesome people. Ack. Tough choice, but I think I'll say Beth Revis. Every single time I've talked to her, she's been fantastic. Plus she's an amazing writer. πŸ˜€ You can contact me via email at jenniferwhite13(at)ymail(dot)com if I win. Happy birthday again! πŸ™‚

I would love to see Charles Dickens & Jane Austen come strolling in together to my party. They would be a hit! But if we're talking living, I would say Ian McEwan. He's pure genius, and he'd make for good discussion. OR JK Rowling…because she's JK Rowling. I can't decide! Can they all come? πŸ˜›

I am so glad this giveaway is international *yeah* I was always jealous of US readers of you blog before. But now I am able to participate.

Unfortunately he is sick but I really hope that he will write many many more. I would love to talk to him about his books. He seems to be an interesting man. I don't know if he would be much of a party chrasher but anyways.

I am 25 right now, so I can imagine how you are feeling today. I was kind of freaking out on my 25th and I don't want to think about next February.

I will certainly write about your giveaway on my blog and I would also love to exchange links with you because your blog is just AMAZING!

Hmm. I can't decide. Uh. John Green because he's brilliant? Libba Bray with her never ending wit and loveliness? Cassandra Clare so she can torture me with all of her knowledge of TID and TMI and me not knowing of what happens next? Joanne Kathleen Rowling so I can bow down before her and thank her for giving me my childhood? Suzanne Collins and then beg her to tell me what Peeta and Katniss' children are named?

    … J.K. Rowling, hands down.

Happy Birthday! your question is quite tough since I'd love to invite every author of the books I've read and about to read. Well, I would invite Sarah Dessen of "The truth about Forever" on my birthday if I had, because she looks nice and fun to be with. The kind of person you wouldn't get bored talking to, you know. I love to have her on my birthday.

    Thanks for this giveaway! πŸ™‚

I'd have Sophie Kinsella AKA Madeleine Wickham because she is awesome. If her sense of humour is as amazing in real life as it is in her books then it would be one hilarious birthday party.
