Whew it’s been a while since I did a From My Quote Notebook post and plucked a random quote from my quote notebook. So my goal with this? To share a quote from my quote notebook at random (aka whatever quote I’m FEELING for that day) and hopefully introduce you to some new books as I know sometimes I see a quote from a book and it makes me VERY interested in reading it or at least checking it out!
This time around we have:
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner: One of the best books I’ve read all year so far!! I rarely hand out full 5 stars but this book elicited it for me. I feel like this quote epitomizes what some of this book is about — among many other things! This book is so so sooo great — small town life and a heartachingly real exploration of that time where you are on the cusp of The Future that everyone has always talked about but has seemed unattainable — coming from 3 characters with very different visions and hopes and realities for the future.
