Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: It showed up in the mail and looked interesting so I decided to officially add it to my TBR!
What It’s About: It’s about a girl who is accused of killing a baby that was under her and her mom’s care. She never said whether or not she didn’t but was convicted by a jury. Now, years later, she wants to fight to set the record straight.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I was dropping off a load (literally like 25 books) to a local Little Free Library and I was perusing the few books that were in there and found this! I very rarely actually take any books from the LFL because I’m trying to be selective about what is coming in but this one looked really interesting to me and I hadn’t heard of it before but first century Rome? YES PLEASE.
What It’s About: A slave girl, Thea, falls in love with a gladiator until her mistress decides to destroy it all. Thea then goes on to reinvent herself and sings for aristocrats where she catches the eye of the Emperor of Rome and becomes mistress to this brutal gladiator who so many have tried to take down.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I don’t read a lot of MG typically but after reading Some Kind of Happiness by Claire Legrand I’ve been more open to it and this one sounded really good plus I’ve read another book by Megan Shepard and really enjoyed it!
What It’s About: From what I understand it is set in WW2 at a hospital for children with tuberculosis and the main character can see magical winged horses in the mirrors until she discovers an injured one out of the mirror and she is given a mission to keep the horse safe.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I LOVE historical fiction and this caught my eye on Goodreads!
What It’s About: Lorna lives and works on her father’s farm in Scotland during the war, a war in which her brothers are fighting in, when one day German POWs are brought to the farm and she meets the new farmhand who she can’t fathom working side by side with….until she gets to know him.

Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus but I never felt compelled to add this to my To Watch list but after yet another Emmy win….I NEED to watch it!

Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: My friend Lindsey told me she thinks I will like it and I trust her!

Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: Well after all the Emmy wins…had to. I was sort of interested in it before (I was 10 years old when it all went down so I do remember all the hoopla and remember my parents being obsessed with the case) but I didn’t want to start it until I heard if it was good or not. And then I forgot about it until the Emmys.
What It Is About: “Tracing all the twists and turns of O.J. Simpson’s 1995 trial for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole, the first season of this crime anthology series examines the behind-the-scenes gambits on both sides of the court.”

Why I Added It To My Listening Rotation: One of my friends thought I would really enjoy the podcast Cheryl Strayed does. I’ve listened to one episode and I can totally see why she thinks it is so a ~me~ podcast.
Bastille — Wild World
Why I Added It To My Listening Rotation: I’ve been excited for the new Bastille stuff and have enjoyed the singles so I neeeeed to find time to throw this one on. I’ve been heavy on the podcasts lately so my music listening has suffered and I have not even gotten around to listening to this one yet.
Local Natives — Sunlit Youth
Why I Added It To My Listening Rotation: I have enjoyed some of their past songs (some of my faves = Ceilings, Wide Eyes, Heavy Feet and Airplanes) and saw they had some new stuff out. Definitely can’t wait to check out this one especially since I feel like I wasn’t even in the loop that they had new singles out!!!

i really want to watch This Is Us – i think it was on last night but it was on at 10pm and i just lol’d at that as my bed time is 9pm 😉 i’ll watch tonight. added Mistress of Rome and Wait for Me to my list.

People vs. OJ Simpson is amazing! I watched the first episode when it first aired and really liked it, but didn’t end up continuing with it because there was just so many shows to watch at the same time. A few weeks ago I had a whole Sunday free to do whatever I wanted and I ended up watching the whole thing.
Veep is really good, though I am a few seasons behind with it at the moment. I have been watching Seinfeld for the first time in a proper order and I love JLD in it, so I think I’ll try to finish with that before going with Veep. Offspring sounds like something I definitely want to check out at some point.

I read Mistress of Rome a few years ago – I borrowed it on a complete whim from my local library – and it was quite good! I think you’ll enjoy it!

I was only a few years old with the OJ Simpson stuff happened so I don’t remember, but The People vs OJ Simpson was a GREAT show. I loved learning about the case! I also became obsessed with Sterling K. Brown and he’s in This Is Us (as you know) and it was EXCELLENT

I recently ordered a bunch of books for Halloween reading. I ordered The Call by Peadar O’Guilin, How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather (did you know she’s actually a descendant of Cotton Mather?!), What the Dead Want by Norah Olson, and The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis.
I’ve been re-listening to The Black Tapes podcast since it’s definitely getting me in the Fall Halloween spirit.
I finally watched Stranger Things! Everyone and my sister were telling me to watch it so I did. In one day! Finished at 3am and was too creeped out to sleep after.
Since new shows are premiering now I’m excited to try out some new TV series. I really like how Speechless looks and This Is Us. Also excited to see Elementary start up again!!! That’s definitely my fave TV series.
One of the books you added to you’re reading list called The Memory of Things, I added that to my own TBR list after seeing it on you’re last New To The Queue. It sounded like something I would be interested in reading. Megan Shepard’s book sounds like something I’d try, too.
