So sometimes life throws you a curveball and you end up having a nice long date with your bookshelf all day — I had lots of thoughts that came to my head that I told you in that post and one of those was just about the discovery of all these books I forgot I had or ones I was like “AW MAN I loved that one” but hadn’t really thought about it in some time. So, I kept thinking as I was reorganizing and rediscovering some books I forgot, that it would be fun to have a “date with my bookshelf” more often…and what better way than to do it on the blog and involve you guys! So basically I’m going to randomly pick three books off my shelves (I have a fancy system) and talk about where I got it, why I’m interested in it, what it’s about and if I’ve read it or not and then ask for YOUR thoughts on the books if you’ve read them. I’m going to do it in vlog format, sporadically, because one of my New Year’s resolutions is to get back into vlogging and I feel like it will be a fun format for it!
Basically a very intense bookshelf tour!

I thought Wish You Were Italian was cute! It wasn’t a favorite, but it was pretty enjoyable. It made me want to go to Italy(and eat tons of gelato–SO MUCH gelato in that book!)
Two Boys Kissing was great. It was such an emotional read and packed a punch considering how short it was–I remember checking it out of the library and being skeptical because of the week but it was perfect.

Wish You Were Italian! Oh that book was such a fun adventure to escape into. During last night’s YA event, Kristin Rae actually mentioned that Anna and the French Kiss was a book that opened her eyes to the possibility of writing contemporary YA set abroad. Love that!

Wish you were Italian sounds cute… another to add to my TBA pile 🙁
I have read What’s Left of Me. It was cute. I gave it a 3/5 but the second in the series I got half way through and then abandoned it. The third one is out or soon to come out I believe.

These are few that I want to read myself. 🙂 I need to have a sort of date with my books haha, especially since most of them or in storage while I’m away at school. I only ever get to take a select few!

Jamie! You should read Wish You Were Italian. It’s absolutely DELIGHTFUL, and it definitely made me want to go on a trip to Italy (and grab gelato) STAT. It’s one of the better debuts that released this year, so read it, read it, read it! (Said with love, of course.) I also really liked What’s Left of Me, though I haven’t read the sequel! I’ve decided to wait until the third is finally out to binge it all.
