I think my answer would be mind control. It would be SO useful. Why yes you WOULD like to give me all these books for free…why yes you will let me on this plane so I can take a vacation to Bora Bora.
About The Book:
Ruby can’t look back. Fractured by an unbearable loss, she and the kids who survived the government’s attack on Los Angeles travel north to regroup. Only Ruby can keep their highly dangerous prisoner in check. But with Clancy Gray, there’s no guarantee you’re fully in control, and everything comes with a price.
When the Children’s League disbands, Ruby rises up as a leader and forms an unlikely allegiance with Liam’s brother, Cole, who has a volatile secret of his own. There are still thousands of other Psi kids suffering in government “rehabilitation camps” all over the country. Freeing them–revealing the governments unspeakable abuses in the process–is the mission Ruby has claimed since her own escape from Thurmond, the worst camp in the country.
But not everyone is supportive of the plan Ruby and Cole craft to free the camps. As tensions rise, competing ideals threaten the mission to uncover the cause of IANN, the disease that killed most of America’s children and left Ruby and others with powers the government will kill to keep contained. With the fate of a generation in their hands, there is no room for error. One wrong move could be the spark that sets the world on fire.

Liz says
I always wanted to have blue type powers, like Pru in Charmed. The author of these books actually went to my alma mater- I’ve read the first two and love them!
Heather says
Normally I’d say telekinesis, but I think intelligence would really be more useful overall… sure it’s not as exciting as the other colors, but I think it’s really one of the more valuable powers to have. Great giveaway!
Trina says
Ooooh, want! I need to read this series! I think I’d have to say Blue because I always liked Jean Grey’s powers in XMen. Yup. That’s some pretty sound reasoning, right? Twitter handle is @trinaruck
Jen says
I’d go for intelligence.
Amanda says
I would totally pick intelligence. Imagine what you can do with being incredibly smart? @amandapate
Valeria @ A Touch of Book Madness says
This is an amazing giveaway! I’ve heard such great things of this series I’m already excited to read it. It is definitely in my soon to read list. It is really hard for me to choose a power because telekinesis is really good for my laziness, but I have to agree with you that mind control is the most helpful one, so I’ll go with that.
Valeria @ A Touch of Book Madness says
I forgot to leave somewhere to contact me if I win @TouchBookMadnes
Lori Hopkins says
Intelligence. If you aren’t smart, then it doesn’t matter what powers you have if you cannot think coherently and thoroughly.

Simonet says
This is a really hard question. I’d want intelligence so I could pass all my exams but then I could use mind control to get books like you said. Also telekinesis would come in handy in my everyday life. I could use electrokinesis to turn off my room light when I’m done reading so I don’t have to get out my comfy bed. Pyrokinesis is the only one I don’t think I would need unless I went camping or was lost to the wilderness but overall I’d be grateful for any of these powers.

writerandbehaviorist@gmail.com I would be an Orange, not to be like the main character but because I am very manipulated and I am very good with facial expressions and social behavior so I would be perfect for Orange. I would REALLY REALLY REALLY LIKE TO WIN THIS!!!! I read the Darkest Minds books about a year ago and have fallen in love
Nikki Robinson says
@n_n_nikki
I’d have to say intelligence.
Andrea @ Bookish says
Tough call. Between mind control or telekinesis, hmm . . . mind control. No telekinesis. No . . . mind control. But I would only use my powers for good.
Of course.
Andrea @ Bookish says
And because I can’t follow directions: beautybutafunnygirl@gmail.com
Ashley @The Quiet Concert says
I think Telekinesis would be pretty cool 🙂
Samantha E says
I would love to be a pyrokinesis, because having a fire around when you need it comes in handy, especially if you get stuck in the cold mountains or forests.
@poisonforsenses
Kelly says
I was going to pick mind control (for all the reasons you said), but now I think intelligence. I would invent something awesome and then make a crapton of money and never have to work again and then I could BUY all the books and live somewhere warm and be super, super happy.
@khager on Twitter
Ellie says
I’m torn between telekinesis and mind control! Like I want to be able to move the tv remote to my bed without getting up, but I also want people to bake me things.
Stephani says
@BeamerAnne
Mind control would be great, but I would want to have telekinesis because then I would be able to rearrange the furniture without having to unload the bookcases!
Jamie C says
One of the powers I would want to have is pyrokinesis because I would like to draw my power from fire. Who wouldn’t? I’m planning to read The Darkest Minds series soon. Is there anything I should be excited about other than these powers?!
Tamara says
I think electrokinesis- powers over electricity have always fascinated me. Also- you’d never need to find the plug in at the coffee shop or airport, you could just zap your charger!
(Twitter handle is @tamaraniac)
Stephanie H. says
I think I would like to have telekinesis. I think it would be really handy.
I have been wanting to read this series for a while now! Thanks for the giveaway! The tote bag is awesome!
@stephalaughagus
Askya A. says
I want to have telekinesis the most. It seems like a very fascinating power to have and use at your own will
Connie says
Well, don’t all of these powers just sound amazing? If I had to pick, I’d go with intelligence, even though mind control is VERY tempting (of COURSE you guys want to follow my blog! of COURSE you want to give that ARC to me! of COURSE I’m awesome! :P) I’d feel a bit unethical or even immoral controlling people’s minds, though (I mean, I grew up knowing that Imperio is one of the unforgivable curses!). So I figure if I’m very intelligent, I’ll figure out a way to make lots of money, etc. and can owe it to my own smarts instead of magic xD
Connie says
Oops I totally forgot, find me on Twitter @theyabookthief
Steph says
I would totally want the telekinesis. I’ve always thought that was the coolest power! Also this would be such a good chance to read this series.
gonzo5051@gmail.com
Sara K says
Totally have to go with mind control. Has too much possibility… @skajder
Susan says
Definitely intelligence.
Amy @ bookgoonie says
I’m going to stick with intelligence. I might be a danger to myself with the others. Please pick me. I think my kiddos would love this series.
Bookgoonie at yahoo
Jillian says
I would like to be a blue with telekinesis powers. That way I could move things with my mind, so when I’m laying on the couch I could pour myself a cup of coffee, get a new book, feed the dog without getting up. The height of laziness but I am totally okay with that if it doesn’t interrupt my reading time.
My twitter handle is @spillbyjill
Jen says
I don’t know. I constantly change my mind but maybe intelligence. if I’m smart enough I can get out of any situation or invent things that will help me right. That seems logical. @bookwitchjen
MichelleRae6 says
I would love to have the ability of pyrokinesis. If you think about it, it’s the opposite of Elsa’s ice power in Frozen. I can’t stand the cold. It has ALWAYS bothered me! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to leave the south of the US for that reason. So, with pyrokinesis, I would never have to worry about being cold ever, ever, ever again. Plus, just think how cool I would look playing with little fireballs in my hands and leaving ash everywhere. 🙂
erinf1 says
I’d want telekinesis, b/c there are so many times that I think wouldn’t it be grand if I could just move something to me instead of having to get up 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
efender1(at)gmail
Nicole Hewitt says
I’m going with mind control – but I promise I’m not evil!
Britt @ Not So Teen Reads says
I’m having a tough time deciding between intelligence and telekinesis. Mind control is really useful too. Ugh, too many options. I think I’m going to go telekinesis.
notsoteenreads@gmail.com
Stephanie says
I’m going with telekinesis . @gorelenore
Kelli says
I would go for intelligence. With intelligence comes the ability to figure out how to get all the books you want, how to figure out ways to take vacations all the time, you would be so smart you could figure out how to read all day…and be paid for it! 🙂
marshallgal81@gmail.com or Twitter ukyprincesskel
Sara says
I was gonna go with intelligence, but I’m switching to mind control. Then I can just tell the intelligent people that they don’t remember such and such or never learned things 🙂
Lisa @ Bookish Broads says
Okay I’m gonna keep it real and admit the fire power would be SO COOL.
Kayla @ The Thousand Lives says
Mmmm I’m leaning more toward blue/telekinesis, but green/intelligence sounds great as well! I don’t really want mind control or pyrokinesis… it sounds too volatile to me. Maybe speed reading comes with being a Green so I can get through all the books I’ve got sitting on my shelf 😛
@the1000lives 🙂
Kailia @ Life According to a Bibliophile says
I think telekinesis would be so cool to have! The ability to move things around with my mind? Yes, please! But…that would probably make me super lazy haha. In that case I guess I could go with mind control…
Kailia @ Life According to a Bibliophile says
And my twitter is @KailiaSage 🙂
Krystal @ Books Are My Thing says
Definitely going with telekinesis!
Bonnie @ A Backwards Story says
Telekinesis would definitely come in handy in every day life! 🙂
I love the fun way Disney Hyperion is promoting the finale and hope it hits the best seller’s list!
cait @ Book Love says
I would absolutely go for intelligence!
Shae/Shelver @ Shae Has Left The Room says
Either intelligence or telekinesis, I think. Use the Force, Shae! ^_^
Lea says
I would go with telekinesis, but I’m afraid of what that would do to my overall motivation and health!
Lisa Collins says
Oh no! I’m so torn between mind control and telekinesis. Like, being able to influence people would be so useful… but morals. Hahaha. Meanwhile telekinesis would be useful in less selfish ways, I guess. Oh, the car got stuck in a ditch? Let’s just lift it up and out of there. You know? Who am I kidding? I would probably choose mind control. Oops. XD — @lisalikesbooks
Emma A says
I would want to be orange with mind control abilities. Thank you so much for the giveaway! I have been waiting for the last book to come out before starting this series, and now I can start it!
@emandm2222 on Twitter
Thanks again!
shannan says
I would have to go with telekinesis. @shannan_withana
Esther X. says
All of the powers would be very useful, but if I had to pick one I’d choose mind control. That’d be really cool! Thank you so much for the giveaway!
Esther X. says
I think mind control is the most dangerous and powerful power out of all of them. If I could be any color, I’d definitely pick orange, but I wouldn’t use it like Clancy and Martin. I’d use my powers for good. These are my favorite books and I’m so excited for In the Afterlight to come out!
Holly U says
I keep saying telekinesis, but I think I’d really love to have pyrokinesis. 🙂 @skizzles22 on Twitter.
Kyla McCallum says
So I think I would want to have telekinesis. Because I’m so lazy (duh). And also it leads to an epic battle as all fans of the X-Men know (Jean Grey). But mostly because when I’m lying in bed, I can use my powers to bring a book of the shelf towards me. THAT is the real deal guys.

Hmm… I would have to go with intelligence. It would come in very handy. 🙂
alexandra @ twirling pages says
i don’t mean this lightly when i say TDM IS MY FAVORITE SERIES (can’t be too sure though because i haven’t finished the last book, obviously). thank you so so so so SO much for hosting this givaway! <3 i'd like to either be a blue (telekensis) or orange (mind control). oranges are very powerful and cool, but kind of scare me. (spoiler for tdm: you clearly see how traumatising it is for ruby.) my twitter user is @twirlingpages 🙂
raychelle steele says
Oh man! Any of those powers would be very cool! I’m think pyrokinesis though. =) This is an awesome giveaway!
@raychellej
Destiny says
I would go with Electrokinesis. It would be amazing to be able to control electricity. In a world where electronics and technology are advancing quickly, having the power of electrokinesis would be exciting as well as beneficial. @ElectricBEP4eva
Jennifer @ A Librarian's Library says
telekenesis. Because it is so close to “ACCIO!” and I always want to use that! 😉
I have been meaning to read this for a while. Thanks for the opportunity! @alibrarianslib
Linnea Pietsch says
I have to say I would love mind control. I mean it would be so useful. Like you trip and spill your food all over you, but then BOOM, everyone forgets it ever happened.
Lauren F says
I always wanted to be a blue. I felt that was a cool power to have but also you were not being targeted as much as an orange was.
Katherine says
At first, I thought I would want to be an orange. (After all, we have to admit Ruby’s pretty badass now that she’s fully mastered her skills). However, after much contemplation, I felt that yellow would probably be the most useful, especially in this 21st century when EVERYTHING is somehow powered by electricity. Whenever my computer’s acting up, I could just zap it or something like Zu does and let it work again! I’d much rather paralyze a foe than burn them alive… or erase their memories. Electricity is actually really cool when you think about it. Not to mention, you’d probably be pretty rich 😉
