This summer I really didn’t get to many book events in my area because there wasn’t really too many & because everything with the wedding had me booked! But this Fall…I am one busy girl when it comes to book events!!
September
September 18th:
Smart Chicks Kick It Tour — AH YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM!! This tour is bound to be FABULOUS!
When & Where: 7:00 pm, Oxford Valley Barnes & Noble, Langhorne, PA
Who’s Going To Be There: Kelley Armstrong, Melissa Marr, Rachel Caine, Rosemary Clement-Moore, Melissa de la Cruz, Kami Garcia, and Sarah Rees Brennan
September 22 & 23:
When/Where: National Book Fest in Washington, DC on the National Mall – all day event!
I’m only going on the 22nd (traveling down via bus with the lovely Alexa & meeting up with Sash!!) but it’s going to be AMAZING. Two words: JOHN GREEN. I went last year and met one of my favorite authors (Jonathan Safran Foer) and got to see Suzanne Collins speak. They always have an epic lineup and this year is no different except it’s DOUBLE the epicness with two days instead of one! Others that will be there — James Dashner, Maggie Steifvater, David Levithan, RL Stine, Jeffrey Eugenides & more!
September 24:
Jenny Han & Siohban Vivian Book signing
When/Where: Town Book Centre in Collegeville, PA at 7pm
I got the pleasure of meeting these two at the Simon & Schuster cocktail party during BEA and they are so freaking fun to talk to!
OCTOBER
October 5:
Tiffany Schmidt book release party for Send Me A Sign — one of my top ten books to read in Fall 2012!
When/Where: 7pm at the Doylestown Bookshop right in the heart of Doylestown!
I have lived in Doylestown from 8th grade until recently when I just got married so I’m excited to get the excuse to drive 30 minutes to my fave indie bookstore! And the cool thing is that Tiffany Schmidt is from my hometown! Too cool!
October 20:
Fierce Reads Tour!!
When/Where: Ridley Township Library (event hosted by Children’s Book World in Haverford) – Time TBD
Who’s Going To Be There: Gennifer Albin (CREWEL), Marie Rutkoski (THE SHADOW SOCIETY), Caragh O’Brien (The Birthmarked Trilogy), and Leigh Bardugo (SHADOW AND BONE)

WOW that is a lot of fun events. Smart Chicks is coming to Montreal and I was going to drive to it, but its too close to the wedding. LOL So I’m skipping it. 🙁

The SCKI tour is awesome! I went last fall when they came to Lansing and it was amazing! Everyone was so hilarious and nice. You will definitely have a great time!
I really wish the Fierce Reads tour was coming to Michigan this year; I would love to meet Caragh O’Brien! I love her series! Have fun!

I’m fairly new to the book blogging community and I’m curious, how in the world do you bloggers find out about all these book tours and events? It seems every blog I go to I see that the bloggers are attending all these events, and I’m like geez how much time do you find these things? Like do you look up tours for every author you read, or is it word of mouth, or things you just stumble upon in the blogosphere? It sounds like such a nerd-fest, I want to participate!

Oh National Book Fest looks amazing. I would totally want to go to that and probably would hop in my car and go except I’m actually going to a book event. YEP. A real, live book event.
I’m going to the Fierce Reads here in NC – in Asheville. Except at MY event, I get to meet Elizabeth Fama, Ann Aguirre, and Lish McBride! Totally opposite yours!
