Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I MEAN, I had to add it to my TBR — a new Veronica Roth ANDDDD it’s her first foray into adult fic.

Long Bright River by Liz Moore

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I picked this up at BEA because it sounded interesting with the publicist was telling me about it!
What It’s About: It’s about two estranged sisters in Philly — one an addict living on the streets and one a cop — and the disappearance and murders that start the hunt to find her sister and the killer that roams in her district.

Fireborne by Rosaria Munda
Publication Date: October 2019
Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I was really craving something to fill my Game of Thrones sized hole in my heart and hoped this would a little bit and this caught my eye when I saw it on BOTM.
What It’s About: It’s about two orphans and friends who are vying for a top spot in the dragonriding fleet which is who governs the kingdom they live in. It wasn’t always this way until a revolution that happened when they were children made it so that anyone could have a chance at being part of the governing class. On top of them possibly having to betray one another for the spot, the survivors of the old regime have come back to reclaim their positions and war is on the horizon.

Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: I’ve heard this is super powerful one to watch!
What It Is About: “When a teen reports being raped, then recants her story, two female detectives follow evidence that could reveal the truth; based on a true story.”
Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: I’ve been wanting to watch it since it released last month but I haven’t been able to find time!! It’s a priority. It looks dark and gritty and I’m really in the mood for that lately!
What It Is About: “With a serial killer loose on Carnival Row, and a government that turns a blind eye to the deaths of its lower class citizens, Rycroft Philostrate, a war-hardened investigator, is the only person willing to stop the murders and maintain the fragile peace. Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: I have heard such good and unsettling things about this one!!

I’ll echo the comments about Unbelievable – its rivetting. Mindhunter has a good premise and started well but kind of lost the plot half way through

I am a little over halfway through The Ten Thousand Doors of January, I didn’t really get into it until about through now (I almost DNFed it). I hope it goes better for you, then it has for me.
