Top Ten Tuesday is hosted at my collab blog — The Broke and the Bookish
I’ve been so fortunate to meet MOST of my favorite authors (Stephanie Perkins, Gayle Forman, Megan McCafferty, Jonathan Safran Foer, David Levithan, Lauren DeStefano, Veronica Rossi, etc. etc. etc.). Seriously, only a few left I haven’t. And I’m so freaking lucky because I’ve even gotten to meet some of my VERY BEST BLOGGING FRIENDS in the whole wide world and the superstars that are the FYA ladies. I have even had fun bloggy sleepovers where we make ridiculously awesome videos.
1. Ginger from GReads: This girl has been one of my very best blogging friends from the very beginning. She’s pretty much the only one I haven’t met! We have some of the best conversations and she GETS me.
2. Magan & Estelle from Rather Be Reading: I love these two hardcore!! I know we’d have so much fun together so I MUST MUST MUST meet them!
3. Lisa from Lisa Is Busy Nerding: One of the nicest ladies I know! Nerds unite!
4. John Green: THIS MIGHT H
APPEN THIS WEEKEND AT THE NATIONAL BOOK FEST! Omg, JOHN FREAKING GREEN.
5. Suzanne Collins: I got to see her speak two years ago at the National Book Fest but didn’t get a chance to meet her!
6. The rest of my crew from The Broke & Bookish: I “met” most of them through the College Students group I created on Goodreads back in 2008 and then in 2010 some of them decided they wanted to join my crazy idea of starting a book blog! I love those ladies and NEED TO MEET THEM.
7. Alexa from Alexa Loves Books: OH WAIT. This is happening on FRIDAY when she will come stay at my apartment and we will journey to DC together! WOOOO!
8. The ladies at Novel Sounds: They are one of my newest favorite blogs this year and they have crazy good taste in music and books. I love them!
9. Jane Austen: You know she had to be on my list.
10. Laura Ingalls Wilder: I can’t tell you how much the Little House books were part of the foundation that helped me love reading so much. I read these compulsively. She sure knows how to tell a story.

Jamie, I think this is one of the neatest desires I’ve seen in a long time. To have a list of people you want to meet…then go out and do it? Very cool.
Hope you get to meet them all!!
Good Luck =)

Ginger @ GReads! says
Love your face SO MUCH. We will meet one day. It’s going to happen. IT WILL.
Vyki @ On The Shelf says
Wow that is an awesome want to meet and even have met list! Bloggers are such awesome people 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Hollie @ Music, Books and Tea says
I hope you get to meet John Green! I couldn’t even begin to narrow down the bloggers that I would love to meet, my list would have been huge. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Allison (Allure of Books) says
Laura Ingalls Wilder is an awesome choice! I’d hang out with her and Almanzo any day.
I’m not sure why I never joined the college group on GR – I definitely should have! So many awesome people know each other through it.
YAY, hope you get a chance to meet John Green!
Magan @ Rather Be Reading says
FIRST — I am SO jealous of some of the author’s you’ve met. I’m trying so hard to go to all the events I can manage, but I HARD CORE need to meet Stephanie Perkins. I missed her when she was in Austin last year and my heart nearly broke.
And most importantly — YES I NEED TO MEET YOU, JAMIE. Seriously wishing we could all get together in a big ol’ house and have a grand time geeking out over books together for a long weekend. That would be a dream!
Melissa @ Writer Grrl Reads says
I didn’t do this week’s top ten, but Jaime and Magan (and Estelle too, of course) would totally top my list of bookish people that I’d love to meet. I think I’ll just have to do a cross-US tour one of these days, and stop in to see everyone 😉
Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook says
Jane Austen! Heck, yeah! She is on my list as well. I would pretty just talk about Mr. Darcy! But maybe other things too.
Candice @ The Grown-Up YA says
Oh, hooray meeting Alexa! That sounds like such a fun time!!! And OMG John Green how fun!
And to reply to your comment you left on my blog, Yes! Want to meet you too for lots of fun!!!
Nikki @ Foil the Plot says
This is definitely a fabulous list, Jamie! I will be at the BookFest on Saturday since I live right around the corner from DC, so we should definitely arrange to meet up (especially because you’re on my list of bookish bloggers to meet!). Let me know if you’re interested. Hope to see you there!
Asheley (@BookwormAsheley) says
Excellent list.
Also, it’s pretty rad that you are able to do TB&TB without ever having met some of those lovely people. That must take organization like CRAZY.
MAD PROPS to you, lady.
Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide says
Thanks for stopping by my TTT!!
Your list is so great! I wish there were more bloggers (that I knew of) that lived close to me! Some of my best blogging buddies live so far away (mostly in the south or the east coast and I live in IL). That’s great that you’ve met so many great bloggers!
And an AWESOME list of authors too!!
DannyBookworm says
Aww!!! such cute images!!! I’m also blessed that I meet already a lot of my favorite Blogger Friends like Jenny from Supernatural Snark. There are two authors that I would be super excited to meet Karen Marie Moning and J.R.Ward! But, they aren’t anymore at those big book events so .. *sigh*
Kimberly says
Yes! We DO need to meet! Someday it will happen.
Rachel says
Great list! I love how you mixed bloggers with contemporary authors with deceased authors. Thanks for sharing and stopping by!

I am so psyched that there’s only three or so days before I leave NY for PA because it means we’re going to finally get to meet. It’s going to be so much fun! <3

I need another bloggy sleepover. I have looked at all the photos like 3x now. WE ROCK. Also, I’m glad I’m not on this list, because it means WE’VE ALREADY MET!
Kara @ Great Imaginations says
Great list, Jamie! You have a lot of great blogs there and you all look like such a close-knit group. I think I’d love to meet Suzanne Collins too but I wouldn’t know what to say! I don’t think I would know what to say to ANY author. LOL. I think that’s why I went the blogger route. But anyway, thanks so much for commenting on my post. I love your photos. 🙂
Lisa says
PLEASE let this happen.
Estelle says
I’m fun, you’re fun… we need to make this happen!
Thanks for including me in the list. I sort of feel like Miss America a bit. 😛
Have fun with A this weekend! She is super sweet and I’m glad you guys are hanging out!
Kimberly says
I hope you get to someday meet everyone on your list, but I wish you the best of luck this weekend! Enjoy John Green!
