I don’t really do Read-a-thon’s except the original Dewey’s readathon because the weekends are the time when Will and I get to hang out since we live an hour away from each other for the time being! HOWEVER…when the boy is away…Jamie comes out to play!! And by play, I mean hold a Re-Readathon in which I spend the weekend re-reading books that either I read when I was a child, favorites I read before I started blogging or ones that I’ve read during blogging that were epic and I feel the need to re-read!

Seriously, I’ve talked about rereading books a few times and how I always WANT to re-read certain books that I loved but since I’ve started blogging I have made myself feel so pressured to read a lot of NEW books that I feel like I can’t reread…which is crap..because I love re-reading. SO I’m hoping if I declare that I’m going to re-read on a certain weekend and maybe a few people join in on the joy of re-reading and hold me accountable to it..then maybe I’ll actually do it! And seriously, it’s not like I CAN’T review these books as most of them were read prior to blogging and even if I already reviewed them I can always make a post about my re-reading experience. I’d actually like to make that a post I do Upon Rereading This Book sort of thing and talk about new discoveries or feelings.

Anywho, I digress. It will be a pretty simple re-readathon. Just re-read books, keep a post with updates about your re-reading & link up to a master list and every day their will be a new question to answer about your re-reading experience should you feel like answering! It’s a go at your own pace kind of read-a-thon..don’t feel compelled to stay up for 24 hours but if you want to…good! Set your own goals! 🙂

If you’ve been feeling like you want to re-read some books you loved and want to participate just link below! I’d love to visit your blogs during that weekend! Also, feel free to button the button on your blog or make a post about it if you feel like it!

About Jamie

Jamie is a 32 year old married lady (with a new baby!!) who is in denial that she's actually that old to be a married lady and a mom. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating ice cream, belting out Hamilton (loud and offkey) and having adventures with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.

I have some books that I have reread an obnoxious amount of times. If a book is really good, it doesn't matter how many times you've read it, you will ALWAYS enjoy it! 🙂

  2. I am definitely in! I've been wanting to reread The Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelley Armstrong for a few months now, but I didn't think I'd have the time to until next year. This re-readathon gives me the perfect excuse to do it next month! Yay! Awesome idea Jamie!!

I'll make a post on my blog about the re-readathon later this week.

  3. I think this is a great idea! I am totally in. 🙂

  4. Cialina at says:

Great idea! I'll have to think about whether or not I have the time to commit to a readathon but this definitely sounds like fun. 🙂

  5. Cialina — It's so laid back so don't feel like you have to commit a ton of time! Even if you just reread a book for an hour or something…the goal is just to make it a priority to reread for however long you can 🙂

  6. SweetestLittleBookworm says:

    Ooooh, that sounds like FUN!!!
This is my birthday weekend, so I'll need to check with my hubs. If he has fabulous plans for secret surprises, I may not be able to do it all that much. But then again, I read all the time, so I may be able to sneak in some reading even in my birthday festivities. Hmmm, I shall think about this…

    But what a GREAT idea!!!!

This sounds like a fantastic idea! I really need to reread more books. I used to reread The Lord of the Rings and Pride and Prejudice every year but since I started blogging, I've found that I want to keep reading books that are new to me. I will have to see if I can participate. I already know that I am working that Saturday but maybe I can at least read part of the time! Great idea and good luck with your goals 🙂

  8. This sounds so fun! I am totally in.

  9. There are a few books I'd like to reread. This is the perfect opportunity for me to do that. Great idea. Count me in.

  11. Jen (Makeshift Bookmark) says:

Ahhh this is such a good idea. WHY AM I SO BUSY!??!?!? Honestly, as soon as I graduate, I am abstaining from human contact for 24 hours so I can do my own effing readathon.

Even though I can't participate in this one, most likely, I'm still looking forward to reading about your progress <3

  12. Actin' Up with Books says:

This is such a fun idea. I was planning to reread some books for the Bout of Books Read-a-thon at On a Book Bender, but I will save them especially for your re-readathon. I know one books that will be reread for sure – Anna and the French Kiss!! Oh and Jessica and Marcus may make an appearance too. Who knows?!

Great idea! I know that with blogging, I always feel like I can never reread and that is one of the only things that I really disliked about it. Thanks for this! 🙂

I really enjoyed reading snippets of your blog entries. As a new blogger and reader of book blogs and such (whatever), I started posting my new favorite blog finds today and yours is first. Thanks for blogging!!!

  18. This is such a good idea! I'd LOVE to sign up, but me and my friends are having a girls' weekend… Which means tons of fun, but no reading. If you ever decide to do this again, I'll participate! And hope you guys have fun 🙂

  19. This was great! As soon as I saw it I knew I was in… I've been wanting to re-read Linda Berdoll's Pride and Prejudice sequels because she has another coming out in November. They are enormous… so I am starting my re-readathon now to get ready! 🙂

I am going to write a post about this project today or tomorrow. I love the idea. I have got some books that I would like to re-read. They were real faves but I just hope the books won't dissapoint me. I was in a different stage of my life back then and my taste in books has developed since.

  21. I love this idea! I have way too many books that are yearning to be re-read.

I am SO ready for this! I'm going to use this as an opportunity to reread some of my favorite books the teen & kid years (The Giver, Alice Series, Looking for Alaska, Babysitters Club, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Sideways Stories from Wayside School). Great idea!

  27. I will definitely be joining you in this! I always feel bad when re-reading a book, almost as if I'm cheating on all the new, undiscovered books out there, but this gives me an excuse to re-read my all time favorites!:)

  28. Broche Fabian says:

I love re-reading. Looking forward to this! New follower, too.

  29. Great idea! There are some books I've wanted to re-read for ages now and I can never seem to find the time. Count me in.

I said I was going to enter, and I really want to but it turns out I will be going to London that weekend. I guess i'll just have to participate another time.

  31. This sounds perfect for me as I have several books I need to read for some challenges, and some I read when I was younger – also this next weekend besides a little bit of work should give me some reading time and motivation 🙂

  32. This is such a good idea. I'm currently re-reading two books now, so I think I'll participate! 🙂
