My silly little survey I created for myself to highlight what I read in 2010 suddenly grew when a bunch of others jumped in and has turned into such a fun end of year event that I have LOVED hosting and has made my TBR list grow crazily! Seriously, 369 people linked up last year and I know even more participated on their blogs and on Youtube!! So without further ado: the 5th annual End of Year Book Survey!
I know the year isn’t over yet but, as I said in year’s past, this is the time I start reflecting on what I’ve read and start looking ahead because I NEVER get much reading done during December with the holidays and what not! I’ll be filling mine out within the next day or so but I’ll be revising if I happen to read something absolutely earth shattering that would need to be on here!
So feel to fill this out whenever you feel like it…whether that’s today or in January — I know everybody will want to reflect at different points! Feel free to link up and share your End of Year Book Survey and visit others on the list!
Note: The survey is for books you read throughout the year, no matter when they were published, and is not limited to just books that came out in 2014!!

Your yearly survey is always a ton of fun to fill out! 🙂 I’m so happy you do this every year! I’ll definitely be participating again this year, but I don’t think I’ll put mine on my blog until the beginning of January (I’m hoping to read quite a bit in December).
Chrissi Reads says
I’m so happy you’re bringing this back, Jamie! 🙂 Thank you!
Trina says
I love your surveys because that’s how I found your blog last year. 🙂 I would love a Least Favorite book of the year question, lol. I love talking about books I didn’t like because they help you define what you do like and find better reads. I still have a stack of 2014 big releases I didn’t get to that I hope to read in December so I will be doing this survey probably in January as well. Can’t wait to see yours!
Jamie says
YAY! I’m glad that’s what brought us together!! 🙂
I actually USED to have a least favorite book question the first year I did this and then got a lot of crap/feedback about it that people didn’t want to pick so I just worded it a little nicer with the “book that disappointed you” question.
Kayla @ The Thousand Lives says
I can’t wait to fill this out again this year! I’ll have to make sure I go back and compare 2013’s answers with this year’s answers 😀
Kitty says
Thank you so much for creating this:) So excited to fill out!!!
Alysia says
Ooh I’m new enough this year that I didn’t know of this little feature but it’s such a good one! I can’t wait to participate myself, and to see the answers you and everyone else posts as well!
Brandyn says
This was a fun distraction today! It means my Christmas tree is only partially up, but my post is mostly written. I’ll wait to post for a couple weeks since I’m hoping to read a few more books in December.
Jess @ Gone with the Words says
YAYYYY!! I love this survey!! This year I’m hoping all the reviewers on my blog complete it so I can post four days in a row of this survey. 😀 Thanks for hosting and coming up with excellent questions Jamie!
Hannah @ Broc's Bookcase says
Can’t wait to get started on my list! Love taking part in your surveys!
How about a ‘Favourite Book to Film Adaptation of the year?’ question? There are tons of books being made into films at the moment and I love hearing peoples thoughts on them! Thanks again for hosting this! 🙂

I love this survey!! I am going to slowly fill in my responses over the next few weeks…it’s so hard for me to try to do a unique book for each. I love to kinda stew on it though. Helps me re,e,ber and recap so well! 🙂
Cynthia says
Great post. Going to try to do this myself by the end of the year.
benish khan says

You’ve done such an amazing job! Thank you so much for hosting this!
Miriam Joy says
I don’t think I count as an entry, because I didn’t answer the questions directly: just used them as a springboard for my own post. But I thought I’d let you know that I did that anyway, in case you were interested. 🙂 http://www.miriamjoywrites.com/2014/12/30/books-of-the-year/
Thanks for the questions! I would’ve answered them directly, except I’ve (a) done a lot of Q&A posts on my blog recently and (b) some of them didn’t entirely apply to me so would’ve been really hard to answer.
Hannah Givens says
First year participating, and it was a lot of fun! Thank you! 🙂
As far as suggestions, the only thing I could think of was earliest published/most recently published, kind of going along with the shortest/longest question.
Alma says
I finally did it! Thanks for a great post idea 😀
Rayna says
I enjoyed this survey, but since I only read 20 books I didn’t have much to choose from… But it was still fun! xD
