The summer has always been a hard time for me as a blogger. I hate being inside. I want to be outside doing things and enjoying the weather because it’s my favorite kind of weather and summer always has great activities to take part in! I feel so unmotivated to sit and blog when I could be hiking or at an outside flea market or laying by the pool. Not only that but I came off a really big, weird blogging slump where I got so discouraged with how serious everything was becoming that I feel like I’m JUST getting back into the groove and I’m feeling like I want to get back to the basics of what I love about all of this: the fun of it all!
So I decided for the next few Fridays I just want to have some fun and just talk about books in non-serious ways and let you guys get to know me a little better! Feel free to join me(and link back) if you are feeling like you want to let down your metaphorical blogging hair and do something silly to relieve some pressure off your blogging shoulders as summer starts to wind down.

This week: I saw a “Your Life In Song Titles” survey on Tumblr and decided to create a bookish one about your YA Life. Basically to fill out the survey you must use the titles of books to answer the questions (I just went through my GR books and WOW so many options)! I know you guys as the adult YOU (most of you are adults but HI to my teen readers!!) but I want to learn who TEEN you was. You excelled at: How To be Good <I was a good girl for the most part. This just came up with my dad and my little sis and he was like “why can’t you be more like Jamie?” and I had to LOL and tell her “I was just good at not getting caught at what I DID DO. *polishes halo* :P>

How would you sum up your high school love life? Things Fall Apart
Describe your most serious boyfriend from high school? Soulless <Ok that’s a BIT dramatic but HS Jamie was dramatic. I say soulless because I thought things were amazing and then BAM my first and only time I was the one getting dumped (he was also my best guy friend) and I STILL to this day do not have a real reason WHY. His sister and mom, even after all these years, don’t know the real reason. RANT OVER.>
Describe your first kiss: Crash and Burn <too much tongue jammed down my throat. Enough said.>
Your philosophy on dating/love: Taste Test <I just sampled for a few weeks. Never long term haha. Gotta experience more than one kind!>

Hope you got to know YA Jamie a little more! I had so much fun coming up with the questions and then scouring my shelves/GR lists to find answers. Surprisingly I had some that I could have had like 10 answers for! PLUS it was fun to look at some of the books I totally FORGOT I put on my to read list! I’ve read some of these books but are there any on here that you’ve read and loved??

Did I tell you how in love I am with this series? Because I AM! I’ve been thinking about a way to make people get to know me better for a while, and this is just perfect! Also, I so could have used that class How (Not) To Find a Boyfriend. I would have been sitting in the very first seat, haha.

Aw thank you, G! When I saw that title in my GR I was like OMG THIS ONE IS SO TRUE FOR THAT QUESTION. And take your time! I expect it’s going to take people longer and want this to be a stress free thing that people get to when they can whether that is a month from now or tomorrow! Whenever you need something fun!

P.S. If Things Fall Apart is one you haven’t read, do it. It’s a trilogy, but the first one stands alone and I don’t know anyone personally who has read the second and third in the series.

This post makes me want to comment incoherently and just say “OMG BEST EVER I CAN’T EVEN OKAY BYE.” It’s hilarious, honest, and, best of all, the kind of creative that only comes from you. I’m 15, so I can’t exactly answer all of these questions, but I would love to switch some of them to present tense and give my own bookish answers. I love this so much! A LOT of what you choose would be perfect for me as well. I would totally love to this post.. However, just thinking about doing it gives me anxiety. Mainly because I am over complicating it. Yet, that is how i feel my Young Adult life was.. A lot of happiness mixed with inner complicated-ness.. like being SICK a lot and dealing with depression.
