Catalog Creepin’ is a new feature here at The Perpetual Page-Turner that was inspired by the “Books to Pine For” feature over at Kristi’s blog and really fueled by my obsession with scouring catalogs from my favorite publishers to see what upcoming books I should be adding to my already-ready-to-topple-over To Be Read list. Each Catalog Creepin’ post will spotlight a different catalog from my favorite publishers and their imprints. I won’t be covering all publishers — just my personal favorites whether they be the big honchos or smaller publishing houses. There is always the potential for a new publisher to be added when I discover new ones that I am enjoying.
Typically, I creep the catalogs when they first come out but I’m a little behind already this year because of my new job! 🙂
Graveminder by Melissa Marr – May 17, 2011: This is her first novel written for adults and I’m pretty intrigued. I’ve seen some early reviews saying that it reads more like YA so I’ll be interested in seeing if that’s the case. The premise is intriguing and looks like a book to add especially for all you paranormal fans/urban fantasy fans!
Everything Beautiful Began After by Simon Van Booy — July 7, 2011: I’ve heard incredible things about Simon Van Booy so I’m really excited for this one. It looks like a love story of sorts that takes place in Athens, Greece…a locale that I can’t say I’ve ever encountered in my fictional reading so double thumbs up for that.
The Book of Lies by Mary Horlock – July 19, 2011: Did you ever read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young – June 21, 2011: This looks so good! It has an angel premise but it seems to be put a spin on the whole concept of an angel and back away from the traditional “angelology.” I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Ten Things We Did And Probably Shouldn’t Have by Sarah Mlynowski- June 21st 2011: Oh gotta love the title. I could definitely have written a nice 200 page list as a teenager 😛 This one looks like a good time and I’m dying to find out these things that they did and shouldn’t have!

That last one sounds really good! I also want to read Hereafter. I had no idea that Melissa Marr was writing a book for adults. While I loved Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, I don't like reading about mean girls so I'm not sure if I'd like The Book of Lies but it does sound intriguing.

I think that all of these sound amazing! There are some great reads coming out this summer. I really want to read Bump, as well. I got an ARC of Starcrossed and enjoyed it. Thanks for the books. I will put them on my "Must Read" list.

Ooh, these books all look fab. As much as I adore YA fiction, I rarely see list of 2011 adult fiction releases – so a big yay for highlighting some up and coming adult fiction releases.
