I took a little teensy hiatus for a week. Very much unplanned. I just needed to take care of myself. I think stress/anxiety got the best of me so I decided to not push myself to do anything that didn’t NEED to be done this week.
So, I’ve taken it easy– spent time with the love of my life, started watching Glee (I am officially addicted!!), and finished Great House
So, what have you all been up to this week? And also, what are some things that you do when you feel overwhelmed by stress/anxiety? I love reading about the books you are reading but I also like getting to know a little bit about my fellow bloggers as I consider you all friends!
Look forward to me being back to business now that I’ve let myself relax! 🙂

I love Glee! When I am stressed I lay around and read/watch movies with my hubby 🙂 Doing things that make your heart happy is always a good idea.

When I'm stressed usually I read or I watch chic flicks. I don't know, they're just so fun and light and easy.. I also try to have one of those "detox" days either by myself or with my best girl friends. We stay indoors, at home, watch movies, pamper ourselves, wearing our pajamas.. Hope everything becomes better after this!

I'm glad you got rid of your stress. I have a few things I can do to keep me from getting stressed. I do read to escape from the world and the worries that come with it. I also like to do yoga if I'm feeling anxious because it calms me. My favorite thing to do when I'm stressed is lie in my bedroom floor and listen to records. For some reason, that's really soothing for me.

I have a cup of tea, and then go swimming! Glad you are feeling better.
My husband and his college friends used to fill up their baby pool with beer, and sit in it, and drink it with long straws. A gross way to destress?

when I'm stressed I soak in the tub with a good book or get out of the house and go see a movie… even taking a walk helps! Just doing something where I'm alone and free of electronic stuff (phone and computer) makes me feel better.

Glad you're feeling better! I used to go for long walks with my parents' dog (he always understands) or just pet him (very relaxing, and warm). But now that I don't live with them anymore, I get my boyfriend to hug me, read a book, eat chocolate and drink gallons of tea. Or I go bookshopping. A little retail therapy never hurt anybody 😉

Daisy– I always curl up and pet my dog too! Boyfriends hugs work wonders for me as well as chocolate! 🙂
Holli– I wish I could soak in the tub. My sister and I share the bathroom and she is a slob and that would mean I would have to clean it first which would stress me out! lol I should go for a walk. It is beautiful weather season!

Laura Ashlee– Music calms me too. The one day I did just that–I just laid on my floor and listened to some great music.
