5 Things That Happened In August:
1. My new baby niece, Adela Marie, came on August 29 — a day early than the planned c-section! (also the reason why I never got to format/finish my Friday Fun post for this week to put up!)
2. Went to my family reunion/crab feast in Maryland.
3. Went to our favorite brunch place for our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. We’ve survived a year of marriage! 🙂
4. I met up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time and got to see her baby!
5. Went to see TMI movie with book club. Unfortunately I didn’t love it. It was fun but just super disappointing.

Your baby niece is adorable! So beautiful 🙂 Congratulations on becoming an aunt for the second time! I got to go to Fan Expo in Toronto which is our version of Comic Con and it was pretty awesome. I got to take a photograph with one of the actors from a show that I watch so that was awesome. I also re-read The Raven Boys with a friend of mine and I sort of made a playlist for that. I’m super excited for The Dream Thieves now! I really want to read Two Boys Kissing after reading the quote you posted!

Congrats on your new niece. Best wishes to her parents. I saw the TMI movie on Friday, It was an okay movie as long as you could forget the book! My sister went with me and she hasn’t read the books yet, so she wasn’t nearly as disappointed as me. My August consisted of getting ready for school to start and making it through the first week and a half. This is always my most stressful time of the year. Being an elementary resource teacher, it’s a nightmare trying to coordinate the schedules of nearly 40 students across 6 grade levels with 26 different teachers.
I finally finished reading Pandemonium and have been listening to Little Women, which I am ashamed to say, I have never actually read!
Looking forward to reading Allegiant and going to the Pink concert with my best friend and nieces!

Hmmm my favorite books that I read this month. Gotta go with OCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu. Amazing book that I really connected with. My other favorite is Catching Liam by Sophia Bleu. That book resonated with me in a way I never expected it to.
I’m so excited that it’s now September. Fall is my favorite time of the year. Salted Caramel Mocha time at Starbucks. Yippeeee!

I am looking to read more young adult novels, and was wondering, how is The Mortal Instruments series? Are they worth adding to my reading list? I’m usually into more action/fantastical plots than romantic ones.

Yay playlists, I'm excited to listen to it/them! I've been super obsessed with "Sweater Weather" by The Neighbourhood lately. I think the best book I read was Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen. I'm excited about pumpkin everything, too!
