5 Things That Happened In June:
1. I came home from BEA — SUCH a good time with my ladies! Did you read my BEA recap & haul post?
2. Went on our first beach day trip of the year! And it was Genevieve’s first beach trip! She’s been to a bay before when she was 6 months but omg she LOVED the beach!
3. After 10 FREAKING YEARS OF WAITING, I got to see The Postal Service (omg I almost sobbed when Jenny Lewis came on stage) in concert with Ra Ra Riot! Such a great date night and SO MUCH NOSTALGIA.
4. We’ve had many, many pool days! I love this apartment!
5. My baby sister graduated from college so we journeyed up for the ceremony and then again for her grad party two weeks later! SHE IS ALL GROWN UP!

June sounds like it was a pretty great month for you, but I HAVE to comment on how you use Duolingo! I saw that and I can’t control my laughter, not in a mean way – but my Spanish teacher this last year (my senior year) instead of teaching us had us go on Duolingo! It didn’t really work out for me, but I hope you get a use out of it! (:

Yay for a good month, Jamie! We got a lot of rain this month so I didn’t get AS many pool days as I wanted, but I had a few, which was soooo nice. I love soaking up the sun. Vitamin D! Tan! I’m not AS ghostly pale as I was in the winter, so that’s a good thing. Heh.
I am so super glad you enjoyed Speechless. It really moved me, just like Saving June did. <3

Best book I read was “Golden” by: Jessi Kirby. So good.
And I turned 21 this month (five days ago)!
Also Hanson’s new CD came out on the 18th! Definitely check out their song “Lost Without You”.

Well June was my busiest blogging month.Granted I just started this whole thing in April but I find that my reviews are getting longer and longer and more well rounded. I think my best review was Waiting for the Storm by Marie Landry (also one of the best books EVER) I also read two books by Chevy Stevens that I adored and both of those reviews appeared on my blog. I am still working on straddling the line between writing a critical review and writing a ranty one.

In June, I finished up my summer class and got my first apartment! I also got back into reading again and read the Hex Hall series. Great list!

I’m seriously jealous that you had the opportunity to see The Postal Service live! I’m a huge Jenny Lewis fan and have loved Rilo Kiley, The Postal Service and her solo work for as long as I can remember. I can only imagine what an amazing experience that was!

I love these posts, I always find new music! I’m glad you had a good month, June was pretty good here too but super rainy. I’m hoping we’ll be able to dry out a little in July. My 5-star books from this month were The 5th Wave, Catching Liam, and Dare You To. I absolutely loved The Book of Broken Hearts. I read it last month and was pretty blown away by it. So many tears. So much love. And I can’t wait to read Fangirl, I loved Eleanor & Park (just like everyone else!). Hope you’re July is fantastic! 🙂
