How is June over?? I’m in shock because that officially means that we are in July — aka THE MONTH IN WHICH I WILL HAVE A BABY. Woo boy.

1. I celebrated 7 years of blogging here on this site: Obviously things are a little bit crazy for me right now with the baby coming soon so I didn’t actually celebrate it on here but I did tweet about it! I can’t believe I’ve been blogging here for 7 years! Cheers to more years to come! (Sad that I barely blogged in the month of June though)
2. I am officially on maternity leave — My last week of work was the last week of June and I was soooo ready to be done. SO READY. Also really awesome thing…we found out at the beginning of June that Will’s work implemented a new paternity leave policy and now he gets two weeks full pay paternity leave which is amazing. He had saved up his vacation days to take off one week so now he gets two weeks AND gets to save those vacation days.
3. June really was just a lot of cleaning and nesting and organizing: Not so exciting, sorry guys!! But necessary! Hilarious to watch Will try to put in the baby’s car seat!
4. Lots of swimming days: Basically the only time I feel good is in the AC or in the pool so I’ve been spending lots of time in the pool when I can. It’s so nice to feel a kind of weightless for a little while! Also me in a swimsuit is HILARIOUS right now with my huge belly.
5. Celebrated some exciting things with my friends: We had my friend’s baby shower this month (she’s due the week after me!) and then we also went to a house-warming party for my other friend who just bought a house! So much exciting stuff happening in my friend group. Also, can we just talk about how much I am SOOOO ready to be able to drink beer again at parties and events. I MISS BEER SO MUCH. Will and I go to a lot of local breweries and it’s been zero percent fun to not be able to drink.

I read 8 books this month!
1. Warcross by Marie Lu — This book was so action-packed and I couldn’t put it down! I can always count on Marie Lu for something unputdownable.
2. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han: SUCH A GOOD ENDING TO A SERIES I LOVE SO MUCH.
3. Midnight at the Electric by Jodi Lynn Anderson: This was such a unique read and I really enjoyed it! It’s a little bit more of a quiet story but I really couldn’t put it down!
Sadly because I barely blogged in June I didn’t review anything

Welllll I only blogged a couple times so here’s what I posted:
1. 9 Books To Read To Fill The Void Now That Pretty Little Liars Is Over: I watched the finale of a show I’ve been watching for 7 long years. Even if you don’t watch PLL, this is a good list (in my humble opinion) if you just want some good (mostly) YA mysteries or thrillers!
2. If We Were Having Coffee: I always enjoy sitting down and sharing what’s been going on in my life and what’s on my mind!
3. 10 Fantasy Books I’ve Added To My TBR Lately: If you love fantasy, come check out what books I’ve added to my TBR!
Also at the end of last month I shared Books To Put In Your Beach Bag: 2017 Edition that I think has a lot of really great reads on it!
I wish I gave my blog more love but I wish my If We Were Having Coffee posts got more love like they used to!
1. Spicy Peanut Soba Noodle Salad: This looks so delicious!
2. Boozy Frose: Definitely had to save this for when I pop this baby out and can have alcohol again!!
3. Why Your Blog Is Probably More Important Than You Think: With so many articles out there saying that blogging is dead this was refreshing and a good reminder for me. Sure, blogging has seemed to decline a bit in favor of video and instagram but she has some good points to remind me why my main place that I’ll always “live” on the Internet, in terms of creating content, is here! It is hard to feel like, especially in the book world, that other mediums are becoming more popular but eh I don’t care honestly when it comes down to it.
4. Old School Blogging & Instagram: Also very relevant to my feelings on blogging especially in light of my 7 year anniversary of blogging!
5. On Influence & Using It Wisely: Such a good read!
1. My Adidas hat I bought: I have not worn a baseball style cap since I was like 8 and played softball. In the laziness of pregnancy I’ve needed a solution to hide the hair I don’t feel like doing and also keep the sun off my face. I have lots of cutesy hats but I came across this black baseball style cap for 10 bucks at the outlets and I decided LET’S JUST TRY THIS…and I freaking love it. Best 10 dollar purchase I’ve made in a while, honestly. I have always thought I couldn’t pull off the casual hat style like that but I feel like I can? Or at least I’m telling myself I can.
2. Acure’s Deep Root Conditioner:– I feel like EVERY month I post about a new Acure product I love but oh man do I love their stuff. My hair has been especially dry lately and I decided to get a deep conditoner to use a couple times a week. I love the smell of this and I think, when I’m sticking to do it a couple times a week, it does seem to make my hair less dry!
3. Okay a little self promo but I genuinely have been loving my Pinterest board of book lists I’ve been working on: I love finding book lists on Pinterest (and including my own) and I’ve been working on it this month.

I had horrible fatigue and nausea in the First Tri but those are definitely dying off. Sciatica has hit me bad recently though! But at least I’ve felt human the past couple of days. 😀

Ooof yeah that was me…I was nauseous 24/7, so tired and literally 98% of food made me want to die. My sense of smell went INSANE and everything made me gag…even thinking about food! It was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Thank god a couple weeks into my second trimester I started to feel better slowly but surely because I literally cried every day that first trimester and poor Will had no idea what to do. I honestly started to get depressed because I basically went to work and came home and I was just miserable.

Haha no we need to think of a good nickname! She doesn’t even have a NAME yet because we can’t decide so I should probably let the internet take control of an online nickname. Baby Miller is about all we’ve called her haha. MISS YOU STEPH!!!

Oh so close. Don’t pin yourself too much on the date though. That is what I did and Merijn wasn’t born until 2 weeks later. The waiting is the worst though. Hope you have a safe and easy labor. <3

Yeah I have this gut feeling she’s not coming until later. I don’t know why I feel like that but I just do. However, I’m happy for her to come anytime now. 39 weeks officially today! 🙂 I just feel like we are in a holding pattern and I seriously hate waiting! Will and I just had a conversation about this and how hard it is to just NOT KNOW. So hard to plan anything.

The whole not being able to plan bit is the worst. I ended up in the hospital for half a week when my husband had one of his busiest work weeks. (Luckily they helped out so he could be with me).
So exciting too though. <3 I hope she comes soon or that the next while is at least somewhat comfortable for you.

Looks like you are ready to have the baby. I can only imagine since I’ve never been pregnant.
Yay for reading 8 books in a month. I hardly ever manage to read 4 in a month now that I work 2 jobs. This is the life I chose though so I struggle through lol.
I hope you come up with a baby name soon!
