Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I feel like I’ve always been a reluctant to read too much stuff about 9/11 because it was definitely a very defining moment in my life. I will never forget where I was (10th grade child development class) and it seemed like everything changed from the way I knew things WERE and the way things became. All these years later I still have a hard time reading about it or watching anything. But I think I’m going to give this one a chance. (Also, I feel hella old that this is considered historical fiction…which rightly so it is…but my brain is like WAIT 2001 was not that long ago and then does the math like OOF WOW IT WAS OMG I AM SO OLD MY TEEN LIFE IS IN HISTORY BOOKS. TEENAGERS TODAY WERE JUST LIKE BORN THEN OR NOT EVEN YET WHEN THIS HAPPENED)

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I have been really craving more books that have prominent friendship plots and I stumbled upon this on NetGalley and downloaded it.

Why I Added It To My To-Be-Read list: I freaking loved Jeff’s debut The Serpent King and so obviously anything new from him was an insta-add to me.
What It’s About: A boy whose 3 best friends are killed in a car accident because of one text and he blames himself and is facing possibly criminal charges. As he grieves and feels responsible, the grandmother of one of his friends requests a “goodbye day” with him to share memories and say goodbye to him. And then the other families request the same but he’s unsure of what their motives are in doing this.

Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: I saw it pop up on my Netflix and I noted it because it sounded good and then I saw literally my Twitter feed start blowing up about it but I have had ZERO time to sit down and watch anything lately. AND IT TAKES PLACE IN THE 80’S YOU GUYS.
What It Is About: “When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief, and his friends must confront terrifying forces in order to get him back. ”

Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: Don’t remember how I heard about it but I do love me a good sci-fi movie!
What It Is About: “After discovering that his young son possesses extraordinary powers, a father must try to safeguard the boy not only from the intensive pursuit of government authorities but also a band of religious fanatics.”
Underground
Why I Added It To My To Watch Queue: I feel like I find so few historical drama tv shows that when I hear about one I *have* to add it to my list.
What It Is About: “A daring journey to freedom is the focus of this epic drama about a group of slaves who escape from a Georgia plantation. As they make the 600-mile trek to what they hope will be a better life, they’re aided by the Underground Railroad.”

Why I Added It To My Listening Rotation: I don’t know how I stumbled across their song Daydream but OBSESSED with this album right now after just one listen.
Blink-182 — California
Why I Added It To My Listening Rotation: LISTEN…I will never not listen to a new Blink album. Like they were a very formative band in my life in middle school and especially high school (Enema of the State/Take Off Your Pants and Jacket/their self titled album were like so worn bc I listened to those cds so much and DAMMIT…best song from their earlier albums) so they are like ingrained in me forever. PUNK ROCK GIRL FOREVER OKAY.

Not gonna lie, the last book I added to my To-Read shelf on Goodreads was the new Stephenie Meyer book. Haha! I also recently added Signs of You by Emily France, which I think is a debut about a girl who lost her mother and then keeps thinking she sees her everywhere.
Stranger Things is on my want to watch list recently also!

All amazing picks! Midnight Special was amazing. It’s very intelligent.
I have no time for anything due to being a post grad student but I’ve added Stranger Things as well and I’ve only seen one episode of the Killing which is supposed to be good.
I always check out your music recommendations because im terrible at finding new music (I always listen to the same stuff over and over) and its all great. Can’t wait to listen to these ones.

The Memory of Things and Goodbye Days sound SO GOOD! I added them to my wishlist a few weeks ago – I can’t wait for them to be released! *_*
I also quite like Blink 182, but my favourite is Fall Out Boy! ;D

I recently added The Memory Book to my TBR because you rec’d it in one of your posts. It just came in for me from the library and I loved it. I also just read Nerve by Jeanne Ryan (YA that came out in 2012). It was fun but a little unrealistic, however it’s being made into a movie and comes out Friday so I kinda want to see it. You know…support the YA franchise all over? I’m also SO EXCITED OMG that they announced BEFORE I FALL’s movie release date of April 7 2017! (ironically my bat mitzvah anniversary haha talk about decades old!)

I haven’t read The Serpent King yet, but Goodbye Days sounds awfully interesting and tragic. I’m very intrigued and I’m definitely adding it to my TBR list. And yes I’ve seen Stranger Things everywhere! I’m not sure if I should watch it, but it’s showing up all over social media.

I have now just added the memory of things to my TBR now because of you 🙂 it will be so emotional but a powerful read. I really want to watch stranger things as well but it looks slightly creepy which I don’t do on my own LOL I recently added Tallulah to Netflix as well it comes out soon it looks good.

Binge watching Crimin Minds for now because sooo good!! And tried watching Archer! Also rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender with hubby becase 😍 and just got hooked on Orphan Black!!!
Also rereading The Lunar Chronicles.. and reading multiple historicals.. LOL yeah I’m crazy!

my husband and I watched all of stranger things in like one day or night i think. i can’t remember now haha. we are not binge watchers at all, so that’s rare for us. it was good, i can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
i am the same about 9/11. i was on the other side of the world when it happened but i still remember waking up to hear my mum and older brother talking about planes crashing into buildings, i thought to myself i was still dreaming. i don’t think i could read that book, but excuse me, 2001 was not THAT long ago, it does not deserve to be titled historical fiction, surely?!

Okay first of all Stranger Things is PERFECT. Like beyond good. Scary/creepy things aren’t really my thing most of the time but my boyfriend and I LOVED it. We binged all 8ish hours of it between two nights haha. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.
Also I never saw Lost Along the Way! That looks really cute. Adding it to the TBR!
