Hello friends! Hope Spring weather is treating you nicely because truth be told our favorite things right now are sunshine and 70 degree weather and family walks.
But I went on a little makeup and skincare spree and I got a bunch of new things for Riley as she’s outgrown some of her other things and figured it’s time to share some of the other things we’ve been digging lately.

Jamie’s Favorite Things Lately
1. 100% Pure Multivitamin Night Serum: I decided to start taking better care of my skin in my 30’s and one of my next things to find (because I’m slow and steady here) was a night serum and I HAVE FOUND THE ONE. I bought it off their website but you can also get it off Amazon. I still use the coffee bean eye cream of theirs under my eyes (especially in the morning!) but I put this on my face after that so it does layer on my eye cream. I’m curious if I could just straight up replace this at night but I couldn’t give up the eye cream for day.

2. 100% Pure Naked Palette: Oh I love this palette so much!! I like that it’s not just an eye palette but has blush and luminizer/highlighter too. I think I’m going to LOVE this for travel because I hate taking so much with me. They have some other really nice looking palettes I want too! It’s unavailable currently on Amazon (they have one or two but not this one) so you gotta get it through their site.
3. Ecotools makeup brushes: I needed some new makeup brushes so I snagged this kit when Whole Foods was having a sale on beauty stuff and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I used to buy the expensive Sigma brushes because they are great but these are fantastic!!
4. Silicone Face Brush: I can’t believe my whole life I’ve just washed my face with my hands after using these bad boys. A friend made a little goodie bag for all of us for girls night and this has been life changing.

5. My new glasses from Warby Parker: If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my latest home try on because I was in need of new glasses (and Warby is the only place I get them!). I went with the Daisy’s!

Riley’s Favorite Things Lately
1. Yookidoo Bath Toy: So all of Riley’s bath toys were seeming to bore her because she’s had them since she was a baby and she was just not loving bath time the way that she used to so I figured I’d get a couple new things for the bath! I found this one and I was like OMG SHE IS GOING TO LOVE THIS ONE because she is obsessed with the kitchen sink…and I was right! She now started to fight us getting OUT of it. I also wanted to get this one but I was afraid she’d go wild and soak the bathroom every night.
2. Spike The Fine Motor Hedgehog: I noticed lately that Riley has been really into things that require fine motor skills so I wanted to get her a toy that would support that and this was a big win! All the concentration on her little face doing this!

3. Melissa and Doug magnets: We got the shapes and farm set because she’s really into both things right now and this has been a godsend in the kitchen along with our learning tower for anything happening in the kitchen. I love that they are big enough she can’t shove in her mouth because even at 20 months she still likes to do that crap.
4. Hape Puzzle: Riley loves puzzles so I thought I’d mix it up with this one and it was definitely a good choice — a bit of a learning curve but she’s been getting it a bit more.

5. Kinetic Sand: During the winter we went to the library and they had a kinetic sand station and MY CHILD WAS CAPTIVATED and I’ve never seen her be so engaged in one activity. She put up a HUGE fight leaving (sand throwing and screaming) and I promptly ordered it to get here the next day and put it in our water table since it’s been cold and we aren’t using it. BEST IDEA EVER. We got the beach sand looking one but they have colorful sand and glittery sand! Will side eyed me when we got it thinking it was going to be Mess City by it isn’t at all. I got so much reading time done the first week we got this stuff!
So that’s what we’ve been loving lately! We are on a bit of a spending freeze lately so not buying a whole lot of new stuff so I’m pretty calculated about it when I do! What have YOU been loving lately that you feel like you just need to share with someone?

Lil pingwing says
I love all of your toy recommendations!! I will be picking up probably all of these! Hahahaha.
Jamie says
YAY! That makes me happy! I’m so picky about toys so I only share the ones I think are worth it!! (or I will say if I hate it but Riley loves it haha)
Dray says
Ah man, I have a 15mo old and was really hoping we were coming to the end of the “everything in mouth” phase lol
Jamie says
YOU AND ME BOTH! She’s gotten better but I think her two year molars are coming in!!

I am so glad my kid isn’t the only one who tantrums at leaving the library. For Teddy, it’s leaving the wooden train table, even though we have one at home, lol. The Kinetic Sand looks interesting. I’ll have to grab some for Teddy.
Jamie says
NOPE NOT THE ONLY ONE! She tantrums about pretty much everything these days if I’m being honest! lol. She used to be so easy and happy! NOT SO MUCH ANYMORE. And the kinetic sand is the coolest/weirdest ever.

I’m definitely going to have to try that 100% Pure Multivitamin Night Serum! I’m still obsessed with the eye cream as well! Thanks again for that recommendation!
