This week’s topic: Top Ten Books I Hope To Get While At BEA!
I’m going to heading off to BEA today! WEEE. OMG OMG. I’m so excited to hang out with friends, meet authors and get some awesome books! I feel very thankful this year because a lot of my most coveted books I already have either because it was sent to me or I have it on my Kindle so no biggie if I don’t get it. BUT there are some books I’m just DYING for and I think you should check out too! If YOU are going to BEA, check out my important post! 😛
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein: I LOVED Code Name Verity and I have this one on my kindle but DEAR GOD it’s the type of book I need in my hands. I need to feel it. AND I HAVE TO MEET ELIZABETH!!
Across The Star Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund: For Darkness Shows the Stars was one of my favorites of last year and I’m excited to read another book set in this world but the fact that it’s not a series SO YAY. I have it on my kindle but honestly the cover is so pretty!
Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles: If you like kissing books…yeah…you are going to want to check this one out!
Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney: I’m so intrigued by this one and I know I love her writing after reading When You Were Here earlier this year!
The Coldest Girl In Cold Town by Holly Black: I’ve never read a Holly Black book but this book just captured my attention immediately and I MUST HAVE IT.
Counting By 7’s by Holly Goldberg Sloan: This author’s book, I’ll Be There, is definitely an underrated book for sure in the YA world but I loved it so much and I already know I want to read anything from her!
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater: OMG YEAH I NEED THIS SEQUEL!!
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: Did you see my fangirling for Eleanor & Park??? Explains everything. The premise just sounds so awesome and I love that it involves sisterhood.
Antigoddess by Kendare Blake: I think I’m going to have a hard time getting this one because I have a previous committment while this signing is happening but PLEASE OH PLEASE book gods of BEA…get this in my hand!
Just Like Fate by Cat Patrick & Suzanne Young: I’ve never read anything by Cat Patrick but I really loved Suzanne Young’s The Program recently and this premise sounds like something I’d enjoy!
Books I’d Be Dying To Pick Up If I Didn’t Already Have Them (And That You Should Check Out): Tumble & Fall, This Song Will Save Your Life, Two Boys Kissing, The Burning Sky, Not A Drop To Drink, 3:59, Between The Devil and The Blue Sea
So tell me…if you are going to BEA what are you hoping you are taking home with you? If you aren’t going to BEA which books would you be dying to get??

So I want all of these, but I REALLY REALLY want Across the Star Swept Sea, The Dream Thieves, Fangirl, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown and Just Life Fate. A lot. But mostly, I’m pretty sure I NEED Across the Star Swept Sea because I just finished For Darkness Shows the Stars and UGH. Just UGH. >.<

Ahhh, great list! So many great books on here! If I were going to BEA, the top three I’d want are: The Dollhouse Asylum by Mary Gray, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, and Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles. (: Have fun at BEA! I’m jealous!

Oh, there’s so many good ones on your list! I’m really, really excited about Fangirl. I just read Attachments over the weekend and I think I’m turning into a Rainbow Rowell fangirl. 😉 I’m excited about The Dream Thieves and Wild Cards too. Have fun at BEA, Jamie!

I can definitely vouch for Just Like Fate – I think both Cat Patrick and Suzanne Young are awesome, and the two of them together is a definitely a winning combo.

Jamie this is such a unique list, not all books that I’ve seen plastered all over the blogosphere and I really appreciate that because I get “recommended” books that aren’t as popular. I’m looking forward to reading your post-BEA post to see how you went with collecting these books.

I got approved to read Fangirl and I am feeling really fangirl about it!!! I love the idea for that book! I WISH I was going to BEA…. amybe next year 🙁 I hope you have an amazing time and meet lots of cool people. If I was going I wouldn’t even know where to start with what books I’d be hoping for…. probably 3:59 like you said and Hereafter the 2nd Shadowlands book by Kate Brian cause I’m dying to know what happens… oh and Fire with Fire by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian, I would fight for that book!!!

Not a Drop to Drink sounds so interesting. If I were going to BEA, though, I would sell my soul to get ahold of Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas.

I absolutely can’t wait for The Dream Thieves to come out! I felt like The Raven Boys was just picking up and getting really interesting before it ended. Can’t wait to hear more of this story!
