Top Ten Book Characters I’d Want On A Deserted Island With Me

This week’s topic: Top Ten Characters I’d Want On A Deserted Island With Me

1. Katniss from The Hunger Games: Dude she can hunt..so YAY food. And you know she’d always have that bow and arrow with her. Plus she’s cunning and always thinking on her feet!

2. Roar from the Under the Never Sky series: If you haven’t read the Under the Never Sky series (you SHOULD..it’s on of my favorites), you don’t know about Roar! Roar is an Aud meaning he has like RIDICULOUSLY GOOD HEARING. I think this would be helpful because he could hear danger coming. Also, I’d totally make my move on Roar.

3. Willem from Just One Day/Just One Year: SORRY ALLYSON. We are the OTP. He could regale us with stories of his travels.

4. Adam from If I Stay/Where She Went: We’d need some entertainment and I’m sure he would have had his guitar with him. He could write new songs about me….or probably  about how much he misses Mia but WHATEVER. EYE CANDY.

5. Celaena from Throne of Glass: She’s badass and fearless. You need someone truly badass with you on a deserted island. She’d protect us all and I pity the animal/human/whatever that would try to hurt us on this island. I mean, IS THIS A MAGICAL ISLAND? I don’t know! Either way, I know she’s got our back no matter what comes at us.

6. Four from Divergent: Listen though. Only if he truly is Theo James. I could die happy staring at him but also he’s Dauntless and he’d be badass in exploring the island and protecting us. He really has a two in one purpose!

7.  Lynn from Not A Drop To Drink: Lynn knows how to survive in both the practical nature of gathering food and water but also how to protect herself. She’d be a GREAT person to have on an island considering how she survived in her book!

8. Jessica Darling from the Jessica Darling series: Look, I’m going to need a bff on this deserted island — someone who could make me laugh. I’m sure I’d get along with all the ladies but I need one who would probably be almost as useless as me in protecting the group with our lack of skills. We would be the SUNSHINE of the group and keep morale up! Plus drool over the males of our group and keep a record of our adventure here.

9. Chaol from Throne of Glass: We’d need someone who is able to be a leader and his position of captain of the guard would provide him with good leadership skills. He’s smart, good under pressure and would be able to keep everyone in line.

10. Addie from Pivot Point: Well considering that Addie could access the future this might be helpful. I don’t know that I’d want to know if we are going to live or die or end up in cannibalism or something crazy but it would be nice to have her there to see the outcomes of some of our decision. Should we drink this water or is it contaminated? Would this work as our shelter or is it going to fall down on us? Should we go in this cave or is there danger?

And my ultimate character from tv that I’d need with me:

I think my chances of survival — both physically and mentally- would be good with this group. I’ve got a good mix of practical and for my own REASONS. The only problems I see is that I’d have way to many fictional crushes here who would no longer be fictional crushes and I’d not be able to keep my hands off them. Also, lots of strong dudes so maybe some butting heads? But Chaol is our leader so the rest can fall into place.

    What a great list! I chose a character from Pivot Point, too, but I chose Trevor! I didn’t even Think of Addie lol. Mind you, I was thinking about all the beautiful men 😉

    This is quite the eclectic mix, lady haha. But I can’t really say anything since all my boys, while they of course could prove useful in other ways, are really only about the eye candy and how much I love them. 😛 I think Adam would definitely be a bit distraught though.

      Haha I tried to think practically and in ways that would make life worth living (eye candy) when it sucked on an island. CLEARLY I put a lot of thought into this hahha.

      I kind of want to make a tv show list too. I would have pretty much had all Walking Dead characters and Jack Bauer. My chances of survival would be EXCELLENT. I really need to read the comic books though btw. Are they different enough or would I be spoiled for the show? And I picked Perry for one of my picks on TBTB. HAD to have Perry on a list somewhere!!

        I would say yes and no as far as spoilers go. The show is doing things in completely different ways, which still makes things surprising and unexpected. Like, if you read and catch up with the comics, you will kind of know where the story will go eventually, but you don’t really know when it’s going to happen, how it’s going to go down, or who it will happen to. To me, they are really two different entities.

    Haha I totally agree with you about Four, two in one purpose gave me a good laugh. I’d like to add Hermoine to that list because she’s super smart and she could probably produce a feast at a flick of her wand and get us off there when it became too much. Also, she has a cat, cats are entertaining.

      I always feel like adding a HP character makes me a fraud since I’ve only read book 1 but I really debated on it because HELLO MAGIC.

    Katniss definitely would be helpful! I decided to go with top ten male characters I would want at an island with me, but if I would have included female characters as well, Katniss would have been my first pick. Katniss and Hermione Granger – that would be such a dream team. 😀

    I love your list- except for Addie. Her constant stream of consciousness would either drive everyone crazy- or Katniss would kill her 😉

    You go girl! Make your move on Roar and get him! 🙂 I brought several hot boys mostly for the sheer pleasure of looking at them. (They also have skills, but let’s be honest…I brought them for their hot bodies…) I also brought Katniss for food and other survival skills.

    LOL, I love your choices. I chose Cath from Fangirl to have as both a BFF (I will go all Reagan on her and MAKE her be my friend!) and also so she could entertain us with stories of Simon and Baz! That’s the closest thing to being able to brings books with me!

    Haha great list! I think you covered just about every aspect necessary (food, entertainment, BFF, leadership, good looks, etc…) and you had a good balance of people. I think your chances of survival look pretty good!

    If I had my favorite characters on an island with me, I don’t think I’d want to leave! But I suppose I’ll eventually want to go home… then I’ll just have Percy Jackson sail me home.

    Great picks! Katniss, Four, Celaena and Chaol all made my list too. Celaena and Katniss both seem like they would be able to handle anything. Four and Chaol were mostly just for eye candy reasons 😉 Here’s my TTT.

    This is a great list! I’ve got Katniss and Addie on mine too – Addie would be SO helpful since she’d be able to see the outcome of all of our choices. Of course, we may not always like the results of the best future …

    DARYL DIXON. Seriously, if you’re in a group with him, Rick, and Michonne, you’ll do just fine in the zombie apocalypse. As for your island list, I have Katniss (OF COURSE, THG characters are essential for this week’s topic), Celaena, and Chaol, too!
