Kristen over at See You In Porridge (a fab blogger & person I love following!) wrote a post a couple months ago about books on her Kindle that she keeps forgetting about and I was like OOH I like this because my poor Kindle books get neglected (mostly because I buy so many Kindle ebooks bc ALWAYS A GOOD DEAL SOMEWHERE (you should follow me on Facebook because I often post about them) and because they aren’t in my face the way my physical books on my shelf are). So I decided I was going to follow her lead and take a romp through my Kindle library and showcase some of the books on my Kindle that I totally forgot I had and should probably read soon.
Let me know in the comments if you have read any of these and if I should prioritize them!! I went with 10 as a good sampling but this list could have easily been 50…because I’m an ebook hoarder!
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
I remember being really excited about this YA fantasy when it first came out but somehow I never got to it and I thought “well I will just wait until the series is complete” and well here we are. Sidenote: it’s $3.99 for Kindle as of right now when I’m writing this.
Where I Belong by Gwendolyn Heasley
I remember being excited about a YA contemporary romance set in the South but I never got to this one! Years later I read one of this author’s newer books but didn’t love it. This premise is so much better though. (The ebook is $2.99 right now at the time of writing this)
Brooklyn Girls by Gemma Burgess
I remember being really excited about this one because it was about a group of twenty-somethings and I felt like it was so hard to find books with main characters that age! But then it got terrible reviews so I think I put off reading it. Still might get to it one of these days!
Flat Out Love by Jessica Park
I definitely started this one because I thought I did and also my Kindle confirms it by saying I was 20% of the way in. I’m thinking I started it and then probably a book I was really excited about came in the mail and I forgot about it. I just glanced over some of it and I don’t know why I would have put it down…it seems like I would have been digging it.
Shut Out by Kody Keplinger
I’ve read some of her other books but I bought this when it was really cheap and I totally forgot I owned it!! I love the premise of this one and I can’t believe I didn’t get to it!
The Moon & More by Sarah Dessen
How did I forget I had a Sarah Dessen book on here? One that I haven’t read! I feel like it was really mixed feelings about this one so I was not as excited when it came out but I’m really feeling like I need a Sarah Dessen book in my life right now so I think this one is going to happen soon!
Trinkets by Kirsten Smith
I forgot this book even existed and honestly I had no idea what it was even about or why I downloaded it! It’s got a shoplifting theme apparently BUT the most interesting thing I just found out when I looked this one up was that the author is a Hollywood writer who co-wrote things such as 10 Things I Hate About You!!! Legally Blonde!!! She’s The Man!! Fun fact of the day!
Why Dukes Say I Do by Manda Collins
Totally forgot about this Regency romance on my kindle!! Has anyone read this one??
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill
Oh man I’m really kicking myself about this one! This YA timetravel novel was SUPER popular when it was released in 2013 and somehow I managed to keep it collecting metaphorical dust here on my Kindle!
Life In Outer Space by Melissa Keil
As an Aussie YA book enthusiast, I’m REALLY ashamed by admitting this one. I was SO SO SO excited for this one…but I’ve never read it!

I definitely should do a post like this because I always find that I forget about books on there. I even have a Goodreads shelf with my Kindle books on it and I STILL manage to forget about them.

I am the QUEEN of forgetting about Kindle books. I have over 100 of them. It’s a major problem.
That being said, Brooklyn Girls was cute. Not my favorite, but it was cute.

Ohh, no! I really liked Gemma Burgess’s Brooklyn Girls series. It’s really fun and flirty; not much real substance, but I went into it expecting that. I do hope you get around to reading all the other novels, though, especially Life in Outer Space. That one seems really fun!

Oooh! You have some really good books there! I LOVE the Brooklyn Girls series. Don’t believe the haters! I’ve read the complete series and it is a lot of fun! Also, the first book revolves around a food truck business so it is fun AND yum! Give it a try! Also, it’s been a while but I really enjoyed All Our Yesterdays when I read it. The Moon and More -not my favourite Dessen-but I liked it more than her latest release.

I have not a read a single one of these, but I believe a couple of them have graced my Goodreads TBR shelf! But yes…my poor Kindle. Every time I go to open it up, it’s dead — that’s how little I use it, lol! I’d honestly read a book on my Kindle app on my phone before I’d reach for my actual Kindle. I don’t know why!

I haven’t read any of these, but I also suffer from this problem of buying kindle books, and forgetting about them. One of my goals this year is to rectify this. I hope you get a chance to as well.

There are so many books on my kindle that I have forgotten about. That is why I can’t entirely embrace the e-world: Out of sight, out of mind. But, it is what it is. lol I have not read any of these, but hope you enjoy them!

I haven’t read any of these. I’m ususally prety good about reading books on my e reader because they are often review copies, haha. But there have been a few that have been on there a few years now (though not review copies, lets make that clear. 😉 ).

I am a huge fan of the Flat-Out books. Park knows how to elicit emotion. Dessen is one of my go-to authors. This was a good one, not my favorite, but good.

Over the summer I listened to the audio of all Our Yesterdays one day at work and it was SO good!! Like, the second I got home I immediately went searching to see if the author had any other books to dive into.
Life in Outer Space is one I haven’t read yet either, but it’s on my to read list – I reeeeally enjoyed The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl!
