Super Binge-Worthy Young Adult Series To Lose Yourself In

May 7, 2020 - Updated August 22, 2021 // 12 Comments

I love me a good binge read!!! I just love getting just catapulted into a world and then finding myself so immersed and invested in the world and the characters that I can barely come up for air. I just love the intensity that comes with a binge read because I’m still so deeply inside the world and the character’s plight versus being taken out of it when I read other things in between (or have to wait for new books in a series to be out). It’s the perfect escape right now especially and I’ve been asked a lot for good young adult book series to binge (my fave to binge) for that reason so I figured I’d share what I think are the best YA / teen book series to binge.

All of these series are completed already or WILL BE like this year. I want you to be able to compulsively read the books in the series for an optimal binge reading experience. I love anticipating a next book in a series but sometimes its nice to just be able to have that instant gratification and gobble all the books up in a finished series.

Please leave your suggestions in the comments!!

P.S. One of my FAVORITE ways to binge read a series is to do the audiobook alongside the physical book so I can keep the momentum going when I’m driving or cleaning or don’t feel like holding a book. I do that using LibroFM — THE best Audible alternative that I am in LOVE with. Same price, same selection BUT your membership goes towards helping an independent bookstore of your choice. You can get 3 audiobooks for the price of 1 to try it right now! You can also check out my review of Libro.FM.

Best YA Series To Binge Read

Best YA Fantasy & YA Paranormal Trilogies To Binge

Is the idea of a  very long series too daunting for you? I love love love to binge trilogies because I feel accomplished because it doesn’t take me as long as a really long series and I love that feeling of each book being the beginning that hooks me, the middle where all the crazy stuff really happens and that definitive conclusion.

I just love reading them when I want to dive into a world but I don’t want to make a long commitment at the moment. Here are some of my favorites teen fantasy/paranormal type series that make good binge reads!

The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski: With dizzying political drama and a tense slow burn (forbidden) romance, this one cemented itself as a fave easily — not to mention Marie’s prose is *chef kiss*. It was a wild ride through all this political maneuvering and rebellion that takes place through the course of this series.  You can check out my overview of the The Winner’s Trilogy for more info. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard: A criminally underrated series that would make the best binge read because you will love these characters and it is so action-packed and full of steampunk-y goodness. It’s a great mix of magic and adventure and the stakes just seem to get higher and higher as the series moves forward to the point you think you won’t be able to handle it. It’s set in the late 1800’s where the dead are rising and the main character and a ragtag group need to figure out who the necromancer is that is making them rise and stop them. Check out my overview of Something Strange and Deadly series. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Finnikin of the Rock

Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta: This is one of my all time favorite series EVER. Ever. Hello I named my dog Finn after this series. This one isn’t as fast-paced as many on this list but this is fantasy at its finest and I can’t tell you how invested I was. Definitely a character-driven one (with mighty good bits of action too!)! Just incredible. I was bursting for love after finishing this one — I have rarely loved fictional characters as much as these ones. What it is about?  A kingdom. A horrific attack. A curse. A people group in exile. A people group finding their way home. AND THEN SO MUCH MORE. I can’t spoil it for you at all. I loved book 1 SO MUCH and the book 2 and 3 blew it out of the water. If book 1 isn’t your fave, I beg you to keep going. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Unearthly cynthia hand

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand: If you love paranormal stuff, this one is one I ACTUALLY binged and it was the best sort of binge read. Very romance-y and action-packed in this trilogy about a teenage girl who finds out she’s actually half human and half angel and then all the things that ensue after that. It’s a  story of angels, love, destiny and free will and I loved the world-building of the angel world. I’m not a big love triangle person but this one was SO GOOD. I really, really enjoyed this series. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Legend by Marie Lu: One of my most recommended series to people looking for a fast-paced series that will hook them! If you love dystopian, this is a great one! I’m always recommending it to people looking for books like the hunger games. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

The Young Elites Marie Lu

The Young Elites by Marie Lu: If you love a good villain origin story, you NEED this series in your life. It features outcasts, survivors of a deadly illness with superpowers that people want to destroy, rebellion and found family. A dynamite series that is dark, complex and totally unpredictable with a main character who is so compelling. You gotta meet Adelina and the rest of this crew! (My book review of The Young Elites). FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Need a book to gift a teen (or a fan of YA of any age) for Christmas? The Cruel Prince is that book for any fantasy loving readers you need book gift ideas for!! And the second book is available for pre-order which they will also thank you for!

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black: If dark, brutal YA fantasy is your thing, The Cruel Prince trilogy is a more recent series to binge like RIGHT NOW. It’s about a human girl and her sisters whose parents were murdered by the fey and they were whisked off to live in their world where they are despised because they are human. The main character just wants to fit in and makes it her mission to be accepted as one of the Court and defy those who wish her dead. Lots of political intrigue with this one too! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Under the Never Sky dystopian series

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi: I feel like this was such an underrated series outside of the book community online! If science fiction/dystopian is your thing, this fast paced series will be the perfect binge read for you! The main character, Aria, lives in Reverie — a protective dome where people live to escape the environmental dangers of Earth — where they spend a lot of time in Pods where they do a lot of  virtual reality. When she uncovers some secrets, she is kicked out of Reverie and into the wild. It’s a fantastic series to read quickly! (My review of the Under the Never Sky trilogy!) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo

The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo: If high fantasy is what you are looking for, this unique Russian-inspired trilogy will be a good one for you! One of the greatest strengths of this series is the vivid world-building that will absolute transport you! PLUS there’s a spinoff set in the same world to look forward to after your binge. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Shade by Jeri Smith Ready

Shade by Jeri Smith Ready: This was such an underrated paranormal trilogy when it came out. If you are looking for a paranormal ghost story with a romance — this is a great series to binge if you secretly (or not so secretly over here!!) want something that feels like Twilight a bit. You KNOW what I mean. (my review of Shade) FIND IT: AMAZON

The Selection by Kiera Cass: If you love outrageous reality tv and dating shows (I do! I do!), this is an absolute must to binge read. It’s the ultimate addictive series that you are almost ashamed of enjoying (or hating but can’t look away) but NOT REALLY because over here we aren’t ashamed of what we read and don’t believe in guilty pleasures. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Young Adult Fantasy & Paranormal With 4+ Books

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead: I’m telling you…this series is going to hook you! It’s so easy to get lost in this world! Full disclosure I haven’t finished the series yet myself but I plan to as the first few books really got me. PLUS there is a spinoff series so you really can have the most marathon binge reading experience. It kinda is one of those series that are so bad it’s good? If you know what I mean! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

You May Also Like: Best Vampire Books For Teenagers

The Raven Boys cover Maggie Stiefvater

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater: I can tell you this is a great binge read from experience! A little less quick paced than some of the others on here but Maggie’s writing and the supernatural elements in this book are so mesmerizing and you will LOVE hanging out with this gang! (my review of The Raven Boys) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

You may also like: best teen books to read this Fall & Halloween (so many Fall vibes!!)

The Darkest Minds

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken: If dystopian is your thing, this is a GREAT series to binge. It’s technically a trilogy but there is a newly released-ish 4th book that follows some people from the first three books. I binged this one and it was the kind of story that had me staying up til 3am because I couldn’t find a good stopping point and needed to know what happened next. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

The Program by Suzanne Young: This series is one I don’t understand didn’t get more popular because it is addictive and intriguing! It sounds a little gimmicky from the summary but I swear it’s so much better! It’s so suspenseful and interesting! (my review of The Program) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

You May Also Like: Underrated YA Books You Might Have Missed (And Shouldn’t Have)

An Ember in Ashes by Sabaa Tahir: This brutal fantasy series is not one to skip with its ancient rome inspired setting. Although anxiety-inducing at times with its intensity and whiplash pace, it will suck you in and leave you absolutely panting for the final installment which will come out December 2020 at which point you will beg all your friends to read before then. (my review of An Ember in The Ashes) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi: The writing style of book 1 takes a lot to get used to but once you are IN..you will be in. Mafi’s writing and this world is imaginative and captivating and her characters are so fascinating! It is pretty romance heavy if you are looking for a more dystopian romance but the world and the action are great too! It’s a fast read! Originally a trilogy, the series added 3 more books and the last installment came out this year! (my review of Shatter Me) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer: This is one of the coolest series I’ve ever read! Love fairytales? Love sci-fi? This is the perfect mismash! Each book takes on a new fairytale (continuing on with the story) but with a sci-fi twist full of androids and cyborgs. (my review of Cinder) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

The Body Finder series

The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting: If you love mystery/thrillers with a supernatural twist…this is is a REALLY fun series to read in one gulp — the main character helps to solve crimes because she hears the “echos” of those who are murdered and senses the connection to the person who killed them. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld: I will be honest I don’t think these are very good objectively. But I won’t deny they make a good binge read when you REALLY need something fast, addictive and easy but a COMPLETELY different world to dive into. An OG dystopian/futuristic series! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children: If you are looking for something very unique and strange, check this fantasy series out! Very atmospheric and well written. I loved the photos that went a long with the book — such a cool reading experience. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

YA Contemporary Series To Binge

The Jessica Darling Series: What a hilarious series! It starts out when she’s a teenager but goes into adulthood. I can’t think of many series I love as much as this one. It’s seriously a quick read — super bingeworthy! The first book DID come out in 2000 so just be prepared for SOME outdated stuff and definitely some stuff said that is not so politically correct for today’s time. But it’s snarky and very voice-y and following Jessica from teenage years to adulthood (and okay her saga with MARCUS FLUTIE!!) is seriously a good time. (my review of the Jessica Darling series) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

To All The Boys I've Loved Before by jenny Han

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before: If a delightful teen romance is what you seek, this is the one! I promise you that you’ll get swept up in this story of first love and sisterhood and the ups and downs of high school. THEN go watch the two movies on Netflix which are absolutely delightful!! (my review of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Daughter of Smoke & Bone

–Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor: I’ve owned this one forever and after reading her book Strange The Dreamer…I NEED to get to this! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

– Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater: I loved, as you know above, The Raven Cycle and I have owned this for a ridiculously long time. I’m ready for some old school paranormal! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

Red Queen

– Red Queen: This series has been very popular and I’ve heard it’s a good binge! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

– Falling Kingdoms: I’ve heard this YA high fantasy series is addictive so I’m here! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

– The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson: This one, about a princess fleeing on the day of her wedding, is beloved by many trusted friends!! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

– His Fair Assassin Series — assassin nuns!! It’s been on my list for forever! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

– Truly Devious series by Maureen Johnson — most of the series I read are fantasy but this is a Agatha Christie-esque mystery series! FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

You may also like: Best teen mysteries to read this year

– Scythe by Neal Shusterman: This series has the COOLEST premise and some of my friends just binged it and said it was the perfect binge read! It’s a dystopian world (utopian maybe?) where society has conquered the many of the things that plague us — hunger, disease, war…and even death. Death is only happened via people, scythes, who choose who dies to control the population which is what the main characters are training to be. FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

– Insignia by SJ Kincaid: I don’t read a ton of sci-fi but this sci-fi adventure series has rave review from people I trust. World War III, space, virtual reality games and sparse natural resources.  FIND IT: (AMAZON // BOOKSHOP.ORG)

I’ve read so many of these! I find YA a lot easier to read as audiobooks than adult books so normally I pick them up in that format and save adult for reading physically.
Uglies definitely isn’t good objectively but it brings back so many memories of when I first read it that I love rereading them.

I went back and re-read the Jessica Darling series recently and I had to stop in the middle of the 4th book. The homophobia was pretty terrible and – as a grownup – I grew weary of Marcus Flutie’s shenanigans. But the first few were still pretty good!

I don’t like reality TV or dating shows, but I loved The Selection series so much! I listened to the audio, which was pretty fantastic and got me through many miles on the treadmill.

There are several other series on your list that I read the first book, really liked it, and didn’t read any more of them. I really fail at series!

I’m going old school here but Sweet Valley High. There are over a hundred books and it becomes ridiculous once they started to do limited story arcs. However, the prime of the series is really early on with #40, On The Edge. I also have to add Private, which was almost turned into a television series. Again, the first part of series is good. However, once the second mystery begins, it starts to go off the rails.

I’m hooked on The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid, book 1 of a trilogy. I’m halfway through the book and I just started yesterday. An original, fast-paced story with plenty of twists to keep the pages turning.

“Why is it so hard to pick my next read?” — “Why is it so hard to pick my next read?” — she says as she is surrounded by piles on piles of books on the floor and desk and packed on her bookshelf and book cart. (Partner @berkleypub - thanks for the review copy).⁣
⁣
I managed to pick my next read, as chronicled in these photos, but it was not easy with so many options!

Decided to go with a most anticipated book of 2022 for me from an author who has written books I’ve really enjoyed.
⁣
I am about halfway through and cruising along because I NEED to figure out if Joseph is the worst or what really is going on here in this story that starts with 3 women being stood up by the same guy on Valentine’s Day. I feel like there is something more to this one but I can’t quite put my finger on it yet! ⁣
⁣
Hoping to finish it this weekend! What are you reading this weekend? And do you have trouble picking your next read? How do you choose amongst all the options?
Sunshine on my face and a mass market fitting perf Sunshine on my face and a mass market fitting perfectly in my hands.⁣…
⁣
Truly felt like there were zero things more joyful than the warm sun on my face after colder, dreary days and remembering how much I love the feel of reading a mass market paperback. It’s probably a very specific little joy of mine and I definitely reveled in it today.⁣
⁣
But the real big joy has been rereading this book and experiencing it all over again before @bridgertonnetflix season 2 — especially the Pall Mall scene. And something to do with a 🐝 😅 iykyk⁣
⁣
With all the joy I’m getting out of this reread it makes me wonder why I don’t prioritize rereading like I used to before I started blogging 10 years ago.⁣
⁣
In my head I just want to experience all the new stories and try to make a dent in my TBR but I forget, until I do it, the genuine pleasure in revisiting old companions and how it’s a different side of reading one can experience — the nostalgia, the person I’ve become since reading the book and the way I approach a book already knowing what happens. Well the general sense of what happens because my memory is 💩!⁣
⁣
Anyways that’s what I’m up to currently. Trying to finish this up so I can pack my books for a short trip I’m going on later this week. My first ✈️ since 2019!⁣
⁣
Whatcha reading? Do you reread often? And tell me a little teeny tiny joy from your day.
If I was a person who made Reels I would somehow m If I was a person who made Reels I would somehow mash up the “screaming, crying” Blank Space clip with the “emotional damage” refrain to the Bastille’s Pompeii to let you know how I feel after the last few chapters of #TheGildedCage !!⁣

And if you don’t understand what that means, I’m sorry 😅⁣
⁣
But woo boy do I need the third installment of this series!!! But I also think I’m going to be even more emotional damaged after that one soooo.⁣
⁣
Seriously, one of the best simple joys of my life is the feeling of being so wholly and totally invested in a series that you have to remind yourself it’s fiction lest you spend all day in bed crying about the devastated look a character had on their face — a face you didn’t even see with your own two eyes but you are so invested that you feel nauseous and gutted like you sure did.⁣
⁣
Just me orrrrrr?⁣
⁣
No but for real. If you love YA fantasy, go start #theprisonhealer so you can be caught up when The Blood Traitor comes out in June (and be my emotional support person for the duration of reading it). I love these characters and I dying to see what happens next.

Have you read this series yet? Last book series that had you SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP because of the EMOTIONAL DAMAGE it inflicted?

But y’all Black Cake is so good!! I’m almost halfway through and I know it’s A Choice to declare it one of the best books I’ve read all year but I’m feeling bold based on how it’s going.⁣
⁣
I love a good family story (especially one with a family secret!) and this is top notch. The writing is 👌🏻 and I know I’m going to be screaming when the pieces come together!⁣
⁣
In other news, I’m 65% of the way through The Dry by Jane Harper and I’m enjoying it so much that I ended up staying on the treadmill twice this weekend after my allotted time was over just so I could keep listening.⁣
⁣
Will and I FINALLY started Ted Lasso this weekend. It is a damn delight!! For all the hype and praise, it has overdelivered for me which is kind of shocking because normally hype is scary. I told Will that I feel like all the praise hasn’t even come close to how much I could love it. We are only 7 episodes in so no spoilers!⁣
⁣
I’m kinda mad we sat on starting it for so long but at the same time I think the timing is right to help me see my way out of this February funk I have found myself in the past couple weeks.⁣
⁣
Anyways, hope everyone is having a good weekend! Have you read Black Cake or The Dry? Where are my Ted Lasso fans at? I’m happy to join your ranks! Also please tell me your fave character bc I am finding it impossible to pick this far!

The Sky is Everywhere — it’s out today on AppleTV+ and I can’t wait to sob my brains out. One of my absolute most favorite books ever by one of my all time favorite authors. Have you read any of these? Anyone else hyped for these adaptations.

Also, for the past few years, I’ve kept a running list of books becoming movies/tv shows for the year. Head to my bio to check out the list! I try to update it weekly and keep on top of it all but life ya know 😆 but I try!

Either way, after loving Jennifer E. Smith's YA books for years, it's been a real treat to also read her debut picture book with Riley (we loved!!) as well as her adult debut out in 3 weeks!⁣
⁣
⁣So let me tell you about that adult debut — The Unsinkable Great James!!

This one just was the perfect warm-hearted read for a cold and gloomy January.

A perfect setting to escape into (Alaska), a tender-hearted meet cute and a poignant look at the shared grieving experience of those left behind.

I was initially drawn, like I always am, to the daughter losing a mother storyline and an exploration of that grief but I was so taken by the father/daughter relationship between two people who were left untethered by losing the person who held their family together.

Greta and her father don't see eye-to-eye on basically anything when they are thrown together on this Alaskan cruise, a trip Greta's father and mother were supposed to take, and you can feel the tension of their long-standing tumultuous and fractured relationship -- a relationship that feels like its hanging in a balance and could not recover.

The two are both hurting so much from this loss and it took my breath away at times in how true it rang to be in your own grief bubble and feeling like the loss is yours and yours alone while forgetting about the others shouldering their own piece of this loss. I loved watching them very slowly SEE one another.

I can't say enough good things about this one -- great setting, Greta's music, the meet-cute, the messy and imperfect nature of family and love. Definitely recommend!⁣
I was on a hot reading streak and now for the past I was on a hot reading streak and now for the past few days I get all cozy in bed to read at night and am asleep by 4 pages in. Will got a kick out of waking up to me basically spooning my kindle. Ebbs and flows, y’all.⁣
⁣
Let’s do a little reading update with an edition of Last, Current & Next.⁣
⁣
Last - The Girl With the Louding Voice: Adunni is by far one of the most memorable voices I’ve read in a book in a very long time. Her hope and resilience in the face of some awful situations kept me turning the pages and rooting for her. I can’t believe it took me so long to finally read it. Highly recommend!⁣
⁣
Now - Deep in Providence (thank you @fiercereads ): I’m about halfway through after I carved out some time to read early this morning and I’m enjoying this story of grief, love and magic. I’m nervous about these girls trying to resurrect their dead friend though! When I put it down today I was getting a little creeped by some things happening.⁣
⁣
Next - The Kiss of Deception: I’m rereading the first book in this YA fantasy series because it’s been forever and I really wanna finish the trilogy. I’ve been really wanting to go through series I’ve left unfinished for years (not for lack of interest but because I suck at juggling all the series I start) so this is one of them. I remember loving it so I’m excited to dive in and binge.

Whatcha reading? Have you read any of these? Anyone else on the struggle train with reading at night right now?
Braved the downpour to get my library holds. I hop Braved the downpour to get my library holds. I hope they are worth it! Please tell me they are!⁣
⁣
This is also, before I get to the stack, an appreciation post for my tiny library and wonderful librarians.⁣
⁣
They normally open at 9am during the week —except Fridays. Did I remember that? Nope. So I was I was SO proud of Riley and I for getting our butts in gear to be for around opening time to drop off a stack and get my new ones.⁣
⁣
And alas, I go to open the door and it’s locked. Now I’m holding Riley’s hand, two tote bags full of books, an umbrella that I’m trying to keep over the both of us, mind you. I’m thoroughly confused until it hits me that it’s Friday.⁣
⁣
So I’m like, welp, guess we are just dropping off in the bin so I try to grab my books out and put them in one-handed while juggling the umbrella and less than enthused Riley.⁣
⁣
Mercifully the door opens and our children’s librarian takes pity on us and lets us in to drop off and pick up the holds.⁣
⁣
Is this what being a VIP as a celebrity feels like?? Sure feels like it to me 😆 for real though, it pays to be a regular and have a cute kid in tow who is being pelted with rain.⁣
⁣
Anyways excited about this stack but especially Wahala, Daughter of the Moon Goddess and How High We Go In The Dark the most.⁣
⁣
Also have been meaning to snag The World Gives Way after @jordys.book.club recommendation!⁣
⁣
Have you read any of these? Any that you think were definitely worth the rain-soaked journey for??⁣
⁣
Alright now I’m off to curl up and read on this rainy, dreary day which is really what I think a day like this is meant for.
Sometimes we get ~the shot~ and sometimes we get.. Sometimes we get ~the shot~ and sometimes we get...this. 😆⁣
⁣
Taking this photo became a team sport today and I chose the path of least resistance as Riley and Finn decided they were very interested in what I was doing...the whole time. Well, actually, it started because Finn kept photo bombing my shot and I’m “come on, dude. Get out of my picture” and Riley decided to copy everything Finn was doing — down to pretending to pant like a dog. 🤪⁣
⁣
I figure one day I’m going to be taking these photos in complete silence and miss the photo-bombing chaos when she’s at school or she find herself with zero interest in what I’m doing.⁣ So I’m leaning into where we are at today — like this in this minute and in this season in general. A thing I’m trying to do a lot more.
⁣
Anyways, I started this one over the weekend. I jumped into bed last night having only read about 40 pages and suddenly found myself 275 pages in and well past midnight. I made myself put it down to sleep but I fully intend to finish tonight! This one is heartbreaking at times but I love Adunni with my whole heart. ⁣

More about Jamie

Jamie is a 32 year old married lady (with a new baby!!) who is in denial that she's actually that old to be a married lady and a mom. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating ice cream, belting out Hamilton (loud and offkey) and having adventures with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.

Looking for something?

⁣

A real life reading photo because I couldn’t be A real life reading photo because I couldn’t be bothered to make it pretty — mismatching fuzzy sucks, coffee almost gone and Christmas pajama pants that are super old.⁣
⁣
Ahhh some of my absolute OG young adult faves are Ahhh some of my absolute OG young adult faves are becoming movies/tv shows soon! And one of them is out TODAY!⁣
⁣
The Sky is Everywhere — it’s out today on AppleTV+ and I can’t wait to sob my brains out. One of my absolute most favorite books ever by one of my all time favorite authors. It’s gorgeous and heartbreaking in its poignant depiction of grief, first love and healing — all woven together in Jandy’s signature gorgeous, lyrical writing.⁣
⁣
Along For The Ride (out April 22) — one of a handful upcoming @sdessen books being adapted in the near future and I can’t wait! These books are so near and dear to my heart.⁣
⁣
No release dates yet for The Summer I Turned Pretty tv series (the ultimate coming of age summertime story!) or The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (the cutest meet cute of all meet cutes all set in 24 hours) but I am HYPED and have all my fingers crossed for 2022 🤞🤞

Have you read any of these? Anyone else hyped for these adaptations.

Also, for the past few years, I’ve kept a running list of books becoming movies/tv shows for the year. Head to my bio to check out the list! I try to update it weekly and keep on top of it all but life ya know 😆 but I try!
Is this a book club? I think we just started a boo Is this a book club? I think we just started a book club. Or maybe just a @jenniferesmith appreciation club?? (partner @randomhouse )⁣
⁣
