I always love doing the book to movie adaption lists as I have for the past few years (2018’s list was awesome!!) and I couldn’t wait to put together this list of book to movie adaptations in 2019! I am SO excited about many of the books being made into movies in 2019 that I’ve already read and I found so many new books to read before they come out as movies this year.

This book actually JUST came out this month and I’m so intrigued just based on the fact it already has a movie! Haven’t heard much about the book itself but planning to snag it from the library.

Where’d you Go Bernadette by Maria Semple
Another one on those books being made into movies in 2019 that I’m embarrassed I still haven’t read yet I’ve owned for years. I think I keep “saving” it to read for a time when I really need it because I think I’m going to LOVE it but then I don’t ever end up reading it. Weird bookworm quirk, huh?

The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon
I haven’t read this book yet but I’ve read this author’s debut! I’ve heard GLOWING things about this one so I’m excited!

This isn’t a comic book series I’ve gotten into yet but I plan to eventually. David Harbour being in this makes me want to get to it pronto!

I got into comics the past few years but I’ve never heard of this one! It sounds TOTALLY awesome though and the cast of the movie sounds GREAAAT.

Ever since Marley & Me I get scared with dog books/movies, I’m not going to lie OKAY.

I have wanted to read this ever since it came out and I don’t know why I haven’t!! It’s a series — I think 3 books are in it!

Joe Hill, Stephen King’s son, has been on my radar since his debut but yet again…one I haven’t gotten to!

I’ve never heard of this comic series before but it sounds SO like something I would like and I HAVE to pick it up.

The Impossible by Joyce Smith
(Movie is called Breakthrough)
Not the genre I would read at all but I know some would totally love this! The movie has Chrissy Metz in it so I will wait and see how people say it is!

I don’t know much about this one except that some people really love it and some people say it’s an abusive romance. I haven’t read it but go into it with that knowledge. Also it’s apparently Harry Styles fanfiction?? IDK I AM JUST REPORTING WHAT I KNOW.

The Aftermath by Rhidian Brook
I love historical fiction and had never heard of this novel so I’m thrilled to check it out! Plus Keira Knightley!!

A remake of Pet Semetary! I loved this movie as a kid (was sooo into horror) so I’m thrilled for a remake (hopefully it’s good!).

I’ve had this book on my shelf for years, from a thrift shop where I picked it up on a whim, so I’m definitely going to get to it before the movie. Bruce Willis is starring in this one! It sounds really good!

I’ve heard this book is so funny and I can’t wait to finally read it! The movie is definitely finally giving me a push to read it! And the movie is starring the wonderful Jameela Jamil.
