A Fantasy Pick
This book has been SUPER hyped and it’s not even out yet! I’ve, embarrassingly, had a copy of it since BEA and still haven’t gotten to it. I’m scared a little because I don’t read a ton of fantasy but I’ve heard excellent things sooo I’m going to start this one next!
Factors for wanting it: So many different people have liked it and that says a lot for me when readers who enjoy different genres enjoy something plus the reviews have been just RAVE.

A Young Adult Historical Fiction Pick (With Magic!)
I’d been curious about this one because I love historical fiction and it looks interesting and then it showed up yesterday so I’m like YESSSS this book and I are meant to be…hopefully?!
Factors for wanting it: Set in the south, historical fiction in the Civil War era (YAY! I’ve wanted this), magic
A Contemporary YA Pick
I hadn’t heard of this one until I went to ALA and was talking to a nice woman at the booth and she suggested this one! It looks so good and a bit different and like something that probably will make me cry. (Whatever, I like crying.)
Factors for wanting it: grief (you know I’m a glutton for punishment), family dynamics, sister/brother relationship, wondering about the little boy who Francesca thinks is the reincarnation of her little brother + their relationship

An Adult Fiction Pick – Contemporary
I’ve not read this author before but I’ve heard great things and this seems like something I would like! Again, I’m probably going to cry with this one. I’ve always been fascinated by families who lose someone that donates an organ and they become close with the family/who the organ saved. I’ve seen pieces on tv and it must be so, so hard. And with this one the mom doesn’t want to reveal who she is.
Factors for Wanting It: mother/daughter story, grief story (mother unexpectedly loses daughter), the connection between two families in tragedy

A Pick From An Author I’ve Read Before
I really like Lauren Oliver’s writing and enjoyed (ehh okay minus Requiem) her Delirium series! It’s a standalone, sounds incredibly intriguing and some of my friends have said good things about it! I’m hoping to start it soon since she is coming to my area (Philly) for the Storycrush tour! (If you are in the Philly area you should come!)
Factors For Wanting It: Seems thrilling, high stakes & mysterious game aspect, secrets, it’s a Lauren Oliver book!

So many great books coming out! I’m in line at the library for Panic, The Winner’s Curse, The Edge of Falling, and Side Effects May Vary. Oh my goodness, that cover of Fallen Beauty is gorgeous!

I’ve read The Winner’s Curse, but I was sadly not as impressed as everyone else. I still hope that you enjoy it though, since the story is pretty engaging! I’ve never heard of Safe with Me or Fallen Beauty, but consider me intrigued as both books sound right up my alley. Thanks for sharing!

I loved Jane Nickerson’s first book – Strands of Bronze and Gold – so I’m hoping the Mirk and Midnight Hour is just as good. Also I’m super pumped for The Winner’s Curse (fantasy junkie over here) and thanks for putting Fallen Beauty on my radar. Love the cover!

Im currently readind Panic. I’m really impressed so far.. it’s different than I thought it would be, and that’s a good thing!
I was also granted a copy of The Winners Curse.. (I forgot I even requested it.. ooops!)
March is pretty slow for releases for me.. when you compare it to April. Now THAT will be a crazy month for books!

I’m so so so excited for The Winner’s Curse. I’ve seen SO MANY great reviews for it which is just making me even more intrigued by it. I just want to find out what everyone is raving about already! And since it’s a fantasy, that’s even better! I don’t read a whole lot of fantasy either but I really want to find some good fantasy books because I feel like I need a change instead of contemporary 99% of the time.

I’ve heard mixed thoughts on Panic. I don’t doubt her as a writer, I enjoyed Delirium, but I’ve heard the plot is a bit hit and miss.
Fallen Beauty just made it on to my wishlist, I enjoy books written in bygone eras. Although set in the 1930’s a opposed to the 1920’s, Rules of Civility is a great read from a bygone era.

If you like books set in the 1920’s , can I recommend Lauren Willig’s The Ashford Affair? It alternates between the present and past, but I just adored it. Also Deanna Raybourn’s A Spear of Summer Grass and City of Jasmine.
