I didn’t have time to post a September Most Wanted at the end of August/beginning of September like I wanted to! Just know there are LOTS of September releases so I probably wouldn’t have ever finished it EVER. So I apologize for not having a nice list of September releases for you to check out BUT I did film a video of which books I’m prioritizing for September and a good chunk of those are September releases. So are we sort of friends again??
Let me know if you’ve read any of these/which one should be my TOP priority!

Oooh, Imaginary Girls is excellent, one of my favorites! It’s atmospheric and creepy, but more of a ghost story than a thriller. And the writing is beautiful. I hope you like it if you read it!

Lol, I love you, Jamie. I too LOVE making lists of what I’m going to read, but I’m also a total mood reader and never follow them. I try to tackle a couple of classics every year, and Jane Eyre’s on my list, but I just got through Three Musketeers (wonderful but oh so long) so I need a good ol’ break. I LOVE the US cover for Girl Defective. I’m not huge on contemp, but when I like them they’re Aussie. 😛 I’ve had Wildlife for a while now, need to get on that!

OMG, I loved Girl Defective so hard! It’s one of my favorite books that I’ve read this year. I don’t really know how to describe it to you either, but I will tell you that I gave it all the unicorns and that you need to read it!

I love Jane Eyre. I love the movie and I really loved the book that I only read a few months ago and I think you’ll love it. I love Mr Rochester and I think you’ll love him too. It’s definitely an amazing story, very beautiful yet very sad.

I’ve always wanted to read Jane Eyre! The first time I tried to read it, I was far too young for it to really work for me – so I set it down. But I do have it, and intend to read it at some point. Hope you wind up enjoying that one, and hooray for classics!
Also, Belzhar. I really liked Belzhar. Meg Wolitzer did an incredible job telling this story, and I really liked her take on dealing with hard feelings like grief, anger and guilt. I hope you like (or liked) it as much as I did! And then Girl Defective, which was crazy but in a good way? I’ll be interested to know what you think!
