This week’s topic: FREEBIE! So I decided to talk about some 2015 series starters that should be on your radar!

YOU NEED IT. It’s Sarah J. Maas so NO BRAINER. Also, I read it and it’s AWESOME. Seriously, great new fantasy and who would have thought I’d be into fae. OH BUT I AM. This series is going to kill me probably.

YA Sherlock….and Moriarty is a girl!!!
High fantasy! The main character is in the upper class but longs for the freedom of those who are less privileged so she can pursue her dreams!
Parallel versions of London! Magic! Smuggling of people to visit the different Londons. This book sounds ridiculously good.
It’s like part Veronica Mars and part Scandal…so basically that means WHOLLY BADASS.
WOOO new Susan Dennard! This is all I know: ” The series is set in a world where three empires rule and every member of the population is born with a magical skill set, known as a witchery.
Now, as the Twenty Year Truce in a centuries-long war is about to end, the balance of power will fall on the shoulders of two young women, who must accept their fate, and themselves, to survive.”
I’ve heard great things about this one and I’m itching to start it soon! A princess of a conquered kingdom trying to save her enslaved people! MAGIC! SO MUCH GOOD SOUNDING STUFF JUST GO READ THE SUMMARY…you’ll see!!
A modern girl caught up in an ancient war! I love when paranormal worlds exist right under the nose of humans and, in this case, under the streets of NYC!
It is the start of a series of crime family fairy tale retellings. This one is a retelling of Princess & the Pea and the main character’s family is one of 3 families who control the black market of organ transplants.
So tell me…what first books in a series are coming out in 2015 that should be on MY radar? Are you excited about any of these? Is this the first time you are hearing of any of these?

We’ve already gushed over ACOTAR together so you def know how I feel. I am sooo excited for Six of Crows and Truthwitch as well! I wish we knew more about Truthwitch though cos I want it like, now.

Just added literally all of these that I didn’t already know about, thank you for the good finds! Either the fantasy genre has a hold on series, or you’ve become much more of a fantasy reader! I know it’s both really. 🙂 I don’t have many other series starters on my radar this year, but I am looking forward to The Wrath and the Dawn because I’d like to see how that plays out as a retelling. Question, is Top Ten Tuesday open to YouTubers, or just bloggers? Sorry to ask :/ but I couldn’t tell.

Hahah it was so funny when I was going through all the series I am excited for bc I was like it’s largely fantasy who am I?!? I also do think fantasy is big for this year even more than usual! And yes TTT is open to booktubers. A booktuber apparently started her own TTT but called it top 5 wed or something but we would love to have booktubers join in to combine communities!!

I haven’t read anything by V.E. Schwab but I am looking forward to A Darker Shade of Magic, it sounds fantastic (and the book cover for it is stunning!). Great list! 🙂

I CAN’T WAIT for A Court of Thorns and Roses. It sounds so good and the cover is beautiful and it’s SARAH J. MAAS. If all of that doesn’t promise an epic new series, I don’t know what does.

I’m kind of super excited for Hold Me Like a Breath. It sounds like something I will LOVE. I will definitely be checking out these other books, because they sound so awesome. My TBR just continues to grow.

Ahh, A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES, I need it! I’m super excited for THE GIRL AT MIDNIGHT. I love the synopsis and think it’s so cool that some of the people have feathered hair! And THE FIXER is pretty good; I really liked it (though my favorite is still her Naturals books)! I haven’t seen VERONICA MARS so I don’t know if it’s anything like that, but I can definitely see the comparison to SCANDAL.

I knew of Court of Thorns and Im very excited for it,
But a new Series by Leigh Bardugo , Why did I now know this!?!?!
The Orphan Queen is one im anticipating because Jodi Meadows will be at my local bookstore
for a book signing for this one. I met her at another signing she did for the Incarnate series and
she was really nice.
TruthWitch is another one I have to wonder why I had no idea about. But it is now on my radar because of you!!!!
