This week’s topic: Top Ten Sequels I’m DYING To Get My Hands On
So this week I could only come up with 8 that I’m like OMG I NEED IT NOW. (I have also limited the new series I start so I knew that this list wouldn’t be very hard because I’m not waiting for much annnnd I’m so behind on series that whatever sequel is upcoming I haven’t even read the book that is out yet). So I decided to add 2 series I desperately need to catch up on so that I can be up to date with everyone!!
So let’s go:
2 Series I REALLY Need To Catch Up On
Throne of Glass #4 by Sarah J. Maas — If you are caught up on this series you KNOW THE PAIN OF NEEDING THIS BOOK. This is the fantasy series that has seriously gotten me into fantasy! SARAH IS GOING TO KILL US I KNOW.
Winner’s Curse #3 by Marie Rutkoski — OH MY GOD. The Winner’s Crime left my heart in pieces and I just NEED the conclusion to this series. (if you haven’t read this series, check out my post talking about the first book)
The Young Elites #2 by Marie Lu — The Young Elites was SUCH a good first book to a new fantasy series. YOU GUYS. If you haven’t read it, get on it!! Marie Lu wrote such an interesting, kind of villain-y main character and I just fell in love with this world and everything about this book! MY HEART.
Captive by Aimee Carter — I hadn’t been finding many dystopians to hold my attention recently until I read Pawn. It was action packed and twisty and I cannot WAIT to find out what happens next.
Rebound by Noelle August — if you are looking for a new romance series, get on this!! Boomerang was so cute and funny and I’m so excited for Rebound!!
Under the Lights by Dahlia Adler — contemporary fans! Get ON THIS. I really liked Behind the Scenes — set in Hollywood, had great characters/romance and was addictive! I can’t wait to get to know these particular characters better!!
This Shattered World by Megan Spooner & Amie Kaufman — I LOVED THESE BROKEN STARS AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.
PS I STILL LOVE YOU by Jenny Han — Okay so this is a series but a duology but I LOVED To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before but OMG THAT ENDING WAS BRUTAL (at least in the ARC it was).
Two series I REALLY need to catch up on:
I didn’t have 10 that I was like OMG I NEED THESE SEQUELS. So I decided to share two series I desperately need to catch up on so I can be up to date with everyone.
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater: OKAY OKAY I KNOW. Why have I only read The Raven Boys?? I WILL GO SIT IN THE CORNER NOW.
Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer: I’ve only read Cinder (and loved it) so I have some serious catching up to do in this awesome sci-fi series!
So tell me…why sequels are you DYING TO GET YOUR HANDS ON?? Should we start a support group for the wait to any on my list??

I am absolutely waiting anxiously on the fourth Throne of Glass book! I just finished Heir of Fire over the weekend and I was so wowed by the world and the characters. Sarah J. Maas is a queen. And I need to finish the Lunar Chronicles also. I have quite a few series that I need to finish, haha.

If it makes you feel any better I’ve only read THE RAVEN BOYS, too–oops! And oh my gosh, you need to catch up on The Lunar Chronicles because CRESS is so freaking good. CAPTIVE and THIS SHATTERED WORLD made my list, too, as well as the next Throne of Glass book!

YES to catching up with Lunar Chronicles and Raven Cycle sososososososososo good, Jamie. And you have plenty of time to catch up with both. And I agree with almost all of the other ones. Even the ones I haven’t read yet because those are the ones I’m excited about but maybe intentionally putting off so more of the series will be done before I get to them (ie: The Winner’s Curse and The Young Elites and the Throne of Glass series).

I read Captive the other day and OMG IT’S AMAZING! It gets even more twisty and the ending is jaw-dropping! This Shattered World was also amazing! 🙂
Don’t worry. You’re not the only person that’s only read The Raven Boys! I read it a year ago and still haven’t continued… so you’re not alone! The Lunar Chronicles is fantastic!

Throne of Glass #4!!! I need that book in my life like yesterday. And I’m dying to get my hands on The Winner’s Crime. I feel like everyone is reading that one right now! And yes you need to read the Lunar Chronicles right now!! That series is amazing. The Raven Cycle is one that I’ve been meaning to start.

I just finished The Winner’s Curse the other day and I have my ARC of The Winner’s Crime “patiently” waiting for me. I cannot wait to read it – but I have to get a review book first. I know I’m going to hate myself for reading it so early but I just cannot wait!

I’m FINALLY reading The Dream Thieves now and it is blowing my mind LIKE WHOA. It is hauntingly beautiful and there are some crazy things happening right now. You guys must get on this…and then let me know when you’re reading Blue Lily, Lily Blue, because I’ll read along with you. =)

Ahh!! I’m in the midst of CROWN OF MIDNIGHT and can’t wait for the rest of the books. Same with Marissa Meyer. Also, Jenny Han and Megan Spooner (I still need to read the first book of both duologies).

I mean…I love your list and all. But I just can’t seem to focus on anything beyond TOG #4! I’m dying a slow & painful fangirl death waiting on this one! I feel like it will neverrrr get here! I think it may be time to form a support group.

TOG4, WINNER’S CRIME (I limited my books to 2015 releases, but #3 as well, yes! I’m just afraid to read the ARC b/c then there won’t be a 3rd ARC!!), and the rest of the Lunar Chronicles are on my list, too! Oh, I need to read my copy of YOUNG ELITES so I can want the sequel! UNDER THE LIGHTS, yes!!!! I almost put it on my list! Is that the 3rd Megan Spooner/Amie Kaufman book? I’m waiting to read all 3 together! I’m also waiting to read all 4 Raven Cycle books together!

I tried to think of ten books that I am anxiously anticipating and desperately needing, but I only came up with two. I think that I have so many series I intend to start, but I kind of keep waiting to make sure nearly everything is out before starting them because I am hating the waiting game so much. I am obviously DYING to get the next Throne of Glass book. Like why does next year have to be so far away? I honestly don’t know if I can handle it. The other book I’m dying to read is Lion Heart (the 3rd book in the Scarlet series by A.C.Gaughen). This is a book series that I have gotten WAAAYYYY too emotionally invested in. Like to the point where I got so intensely emotional I had to slam the book shut (or I got angry and slammed it shut, only to open it two minutes later to keep seein what would happen). I absolutely adore this series, and the fact that I have to wait until May (oh good, we have a release date on goodreads! Time to start a countdown!) is killing me. A lot. (Other than those two I really am not dying for a next book. I really just have to catch up. I am behind on the Lunar Chronicles as well, and a friend of mine keeps bugging me to catch up (but I am sooo ADD when it comes to reading). But, thanks to your list, I will be looking into the other series that you have mentioned and will probably be adding them to my ever growing TBR list.
Unrelated, if you have not read Scarlet I HIGHLY recommend that you do. I had a super hard time finding it in the bookstores around me, so I just bought it on my nook but have no regrets about that. I love that series, so much.

We absolutely need a support group for Th winner’s Curse and Heir of Fire!! I actually don’t even know how i am going to manage if I don’t get my hands on The winner’s Crime soon. To hold me over for SJ i have A Court of Thorns & Roses…well don’t have it but need it. Le sigh I shall resume my ever vigilant wait, <3

It’s been so long since I’ve read A Game of Thrones that by the time I get to the next book I’ll have no idea what’s going on. I keep starting eight thousand other books though so I haven’t gotten to the sequel. I also NEEEED to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue.

I completely agree about Throne of Glass #4. My only other one I can think of that really, REALLY need is Winter. I’m sure there are many more, but those are at the top of my list.

You totally need to catch up on the Lunar Chronicles and The Raven Cycle!! I love both of those series to pieces. That being said I ALSO need to catch up on the Raven Cycle since I haven’t gotten around to picking up Blue Lily, Lily Blue since it came out. And I also need to read the Magician’s Land now that it’s out, since I loved the first two in the series. Basically this upcoming winter break will be a lot of catching up on reading for me. Can’t wait! 🙂

I’m in agreement with you about the Winner’s Curse books. At least you’ve read the second one!
And you really do need to catch up on the Lunar Chronicles. They are fantastic books. There’s still time before Fairest comes out in January!

I can’t wait for Golden Son, which is the sequel to Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I loved the first book so much, I really can’t wait for the next installment in the series!

I loved This Shattered World! I read it fairly recently, but I loved it so, so much. I think Amie & Meagan have succeeded in letting us know a little more about their world + society, but also given us a brand new story + characters to fall in love with. Which I did.
Obviously, I’m super excited for Throne of Glass #4. Let’s face it, it’s one of the top books I need from next year’s releases because more of kickass Celaena Sardothien is never ever a bad thing! I’m also looking forward to reading PS I Still Love You (I am hoping my OTP stays afloat! Which it will.), The Winner’s Curse #3 (after the way the second ended, I don’t know what’s going to happen in the third!), and Rebound (because Boomerang was so dang fun).
Also, you MUST catch up on The Lunar Chronicles. It’s definitely one of my all-time favorite series! I mean, if you really want to, you could always wait until Winter is released so you can binge read like a boss 😉 Same goes for The Raven Boys – it’s a fantastical, magical, weird, unique series and so, so good!
